This time get a coach who has proven credentials.

And then chuck the board out.

And then watch them come out of the woodwork. Gee, maybe even Jeff Newman might make a reappearance after 30+ years.

Jeff Newman does go to 1-2 home games a year maybe 3 Dazzler.

Are you joking?? I haven't seen that front runner at Lathlain since 1978. Where does he watch the footy from? Behind the scoreboard?

Have seen him in the President's Lounge mostly.

But yes get the appointment right and we start winning games then the supporters will come out of the woodwork like the did in the early stages last year.

Jeff is a pal of Chubby Stiles, has been for years.
And yes see him regularly a few times every year.
The one you don't see too often is brother Peter, comes out during winning streaks.

It would probably be better if you targetted quality players in other comps such as the VFL rather than delisted AFL guys. I understand they're all ex Perth FC players but it must have cost a packet to get them back to the club.

BC I haven't had a problem with who we've recruited over the years. I think most of them have given good service (thought Reimers was a waste of space). For mine the problem is we don't have enough of our locals guys having much impact. I think recruits should come to a team and add cream to a good nucleus of players. We rely on our recruits to be our best players every week and carry us single handedly to a finals appearance. If we had 10-14 really good WAFL players in our squad our recruits would be the cream but we for many years now have struggled to develop our own. Just look at how many 100 gamers we've had over the past 15 years. Bugger all. That's why Subi and Claremont were so strong for so long because their guns generally were their own players and the players they brought in were just icing on the cake. When someone comes in for their first league game for Perth he resembles the squeaky voice teen from the Simpsons.

Id be surprised if they delisted McIness only for the fact that hes probably the only genuine tall kp forward backup option the Eagles have at the moment, they have plenty of ruck options but not Key forward options.
Butler will more than likely get delisted and i doubt very much we will ever see him back in Red and Black, will probably retire and could go back home to S.A,imo.

30+ I don't think Sammy will be going home.
Wife is a WA girl and I think that she has her own fashion business.

well at least Sammy if he does stay in WA, will have more say in who he plays for in the WAFL then DF, if he gets delisted.....reckon he would go to $ubi .......or even stay at EP to be close to his mates ;)

Replace your terrible board. They are the ones who keep on choosing these coaches and more importantly who then go and recruit the crap that you have in the past. I reckon you guys have recruited for membership and to get some print space in the paper then to address on filed gaps. Davis, Bateman, Reimers, Spanderman were never going to be the keys you were after on ground.

Get some footy people to run football, not hacks from the colts or the cheapest option out there to tread water for a bit in hope of finding someone.

Get rid of the losers that fluff around for 10 games a year and aren't fully fit or committed (and there are heaps that you talk about every xmas hoping and praying this so snd so comes back from over seas and what's his name doesn't play for Northam anymore and turns up to pre-season) and play the best 4 colts every year in the league side, target 3 players who are not over 30 yrs of age and who want to play at PFC for the next 5-7 years and are driven for success . . . like Ross Young.

Every year you start out 4-1 or 5-2 and everyone else then knows that Perth aren't far away from falling in a huge hole for the rest of the year.

Can't be fitness - everyone trains the same. Coach tactics?? Worked for the first 6 weeks. Player mental toughness and willingness to win?? YEP.

Just my opinion.

If he does get delisted or retires at the end of the year then I would expect the club to be in contact with his and try everything to get him signed on at the Demons for 2015.

Does anyone know what his points value would be? He's played 49 games for the Demons, surely he can't be classified as a 12 point player.
