Desperate Dutton is on borrowed time. He showed that not only was he desperate but he was also duplicitous and incompetent. How he thinks he can defend his decisions vis a vis the au pairs shows just out of touch he is with the average Australian.

Bishop versus the rest of the WA domiciled Liberal Party are permanently split.

Morrison's mea culpa over the banking royal commission will be seen for what it is.

C Porter will also go in the tidal wave in WA.

M Cormann is irreparably damaged as well.

I hope come the next federal election people don't forget how incompetent the federal Labor party was last time around. And I'm guessing nothing much has changed apart from a shuffling of the deck chairs.

DD despite Labor being a minority government at no point during that period did they shut down the House of Representatives. The Liberal Party despite being a majority government shut down the House of Representatives the week of the challenge.

I find it most strange that old Pyne should now be saying the other day , no-one really knows why turnbull was given the flick.
What an odd statement from him.

Can anyone explain why we should contribute to a drought relief fund when we have the DROUGHT ENVOY B Joyce will not support the need to reduce our CO2 emissions?

Similarly, why doesn't the party that purports to support the rural sector not support the reduction in CO2 emissions?

Interesting count in the Wagga Wagga by-election today. In the last state election it was won by the Libs with a margin close to 13%. Currently the Libs are running 3rd behind an Independent and the Labor Party candidates with 49.5% counted.

UPDATE: According to Antony Green there is a possibility that Labor could win the seat with a swing of more than 15%.
