Good to see that apparently Australia has a skill shortage in the occupation of au pair given that Desperate Dutton's ignored departmental advice:

I am at a loss why there hasn't been any comment from the conservative side of politics about the sovereign risk associated with the Morrison government's hints that they may force sale of assets legally acquired by AGL.

Similarly, why there hasn't been some concerns about how Morrison's government is going to lower the power bills of people domiciled in Western Australia.

Desperate Dutton's au pair scandal has a stench that is getting worse as more information is made public. Six hours to decide that departmental advice should be ignore because "4 kids will be disappointed not to see their former nanny" stinks.

Desperate Dutton should make himself available to appear before the appropriate senate hearing next week.

To be honest sean I don't think anyone cares. We all understand this government is a dead man walking and will be suitably spanked at the next election and quite rightly so for replicating the ridiculous narcissistic and self-serving actions of the previous Labor government. They should have kept Turnbull as PM and sucked up whatever came their way on election day.

...And your first sentence there is part of the problem BC
Then big business and governments take full advantage and then take more from peoples lack of interest and/ or inaction.
After all, governments will tell everyone, tax payers have plenty of money that they squeeze from you. Whether you like it or not! Whilst everyone stands around 'not caring', governments are just getting away with anything they like!
Take the latest leadership spill in blundersville. It's my understanding certain companies were lobbying tabbott against the NEG.What better way to take peoples minds off high energy costs than to dump the PM. If abbott had any decency he'd follow turnbull out the door!

Caroline Marcus what a disgustingly jaundiced poor excuse for a journalist. When you talk about the number of people who drowned at sea you need to put in in the context of why the Liberal Party voted against the "Malaysian solution".

I notice not one Liberal Party voter has posted a defence of Desperate Dutton's overriding departmental advice regarding the au pair's deportation.
