Chaddy, you make a fair point. However, my view is this: C had the alignment for only one year and relinquished it due too concerns that it hampered junior development. At that point, SF were neutral: they said that if another club took up the Eagles alignment, they would keep the Dockers.' EP was then the only club that volunteered, without which the whole thing would have collapsed after one season. What is particularly galling, even now, is that EP deny that they derived any benefit from that alignment, despite going from second last to triple premiers. You then benefitted, on and off-field, from the second alignment, yet you pretend you had no other choice. You also seem to think that everyone should just forgive and forget and welcome back the real EP as though nothing happened. That is why I will always reserve a special level of contempt for your club.

I want you to know that your contempt is really appreciated and I personally want it to continue as long as you or I continue to be on this earth.

As for EP folk wanting forgiveness, praise or anything else from you in-particular or any other WAFL supporter I certainly don't want nor do I expect anything other than the continued hate, contempt and disdain we deserve being the EAST PERTH FOOTBALL CLUB we have earnt it over many years and long may it continue.

I don't know who you support and I suppose it doesn't matter but I hope when we play you that you will seek me out so we can chat abt the WAFL and its future.

I wouldn't be too concerned about Teddy Grump as he is an embittered soul and quite possibly a manic depressive.On a more positive note i've received a Presidents letter from Bronte thanking all Royals members for the EXTRAORDINARY response to the 2020 membership drive,so i hope the same can be said for Teddy's mob.

Every other club was offered the same deal but didn't have a social premises at the ground where they could offer a pre-game guest speaker, lunch and half time drinks so couldn't make it work. That's not Subi's fault...that's just a fact of life...get over it. When they play sheila's AFL games at Freo Oval does Souths share the bar receipts with the other WAFL clubs? I think not.

Bar takings at 3 or 4 female games where attendance is poor at best and the main sale is water & soft drink hardly compares to a massive payout & sold out stadiums every week - plus finals

The payout was because we left our home ground of 100 years and had a 99 +10 +10 year lease. It funded the building of new social premises and facilities at Leederville....the equivalent of which was handed to EP for nothing. No great advantage there. But hey, whatever...don't let facts get in the way of a good whinge.

Add International Rules, International Rugby games, International Soccer matches, Monster Truck Jams, Big Event Outdoor Concerts as well Southy.
I saw the likes of Pearl Jam, U2, Guns n Roses, AC/DC etc there in the last 15 years and all would have had between 30-50k there plus from memory that Pommy crooner Adele had 2 x 60k crowds that Subi would have benefited from all that despite receiving a 7 figure payout to leave Subiaco Oval back in 2003!

You made the comment about everyone on here did you not?
Well you were given that extended lease because of your shocking financial position in that period of time mentioned before - and the other 7 clubs agreed to that benevolence from the WAFL at the time
You've been given more handouts than any other club in the history of the game except for Fitzroy
