Agree DD, the WAFL forums is like watching a car crash or soap opera. It's awful to watch but you can't stop watching....maybe with the hope that there will be some insightful analysis or commentary for those of us who are no longer in the loop or local enough to keep in touch.

Seriously lads, the same 10 blokes keep posting trashy, antagonistic comments about how other clubs have done wrong and why their own club is hard done by. The comp needs some promotion so spend your timing talking it up instead of trashing it. What are you actually going to achieve with these endless rants and sulks about the past on this micro forum.

Looking forward to hearing how clubs are travelling as we edge closer to footy commencing again. Enough of the club vs club trash talk, its really old and really boring. Get over it.

Do you have any proof or evidence this seats deal at Subiaco Oval was offered to every WAFL club BC?

I spoke to a WAFL club official from that time and he has no recollection that was ever the case.

What has been affirmed without proof can also be denied without proof.

BC wrote: I could do some research BH but quite frankly it's a topic which has been done to death and I can't really be bothered. I recall it being in the press and other club's throwing up possible scenarios to take advantage of it including using Kitchener Park bowling club behind Subi Oval and also buses but in the end nothing was viable. Should Subi have given other clubs an opportunity to share their social premises and the monetary windfall??? probably but that was the decision by the club at the time.

The Bar trading was one thing , and the concept of half time bus abouts to Fremantle and Bassendean is so ludircrous I dont think anyone would of taken it seriusly.

and the bar takings was never really the bug bear it was the revenue from the seats,

any way it was freak of history that subi just ended up as league HQ ., it could of been Perth Oval or the WACA but ended up out there, the rest as they say is history and the reprucussions will be felt for decades.

I vaguely remember it being spoken about, but it never really got off the ground seriously. Subi kept things pretty tight and the offer was never realistic.

Sorry Bazza, the bar takings would have been enormous.
Given also the opportunity to divert cash.

Sorry all...I guess I'm partially to blame for getting this thread off topic. So coming back to it, I think 2020 will be a very interesting season of footy. Some clubs like SF and Claremont might plateau a bit due to player movements, others like Perth and EF could show significant improvement, WP will most likely drop off due to retirements etc. I think my club will still be very strong as you generally don't fall back too far after winning a GF by 15 goals and with minimal player loss (Wheeler and Edwards-Baldwin) over the offseason. In saying that, our senior players like Horsley, Kitchin, Delahunty, Lockyer might not have the same hunger as previous seasons bringing us back to the pack a bit but I guess time will tell.

We are only going on your wraps on the potential of some of those that have departed of their own accord Freezin. Yet you guys make out as though Bubblo Bill has wielded the axe and had a clean out. I guess that’s a convenient way of justifying a 5 win season for a proven premiership coach. Lol

After Spud Wiley appalling tenure....quite surprised Bill got 5 wins DD....actually those 5 wins total Spud Wileys total wins for the proceeding 2 years....thank fudge he has drifted back to Perth....

My wraps on those boys?...be interested in what I have actually "said" mate....

No 1 prediction for 2020.
Freezn to become so disillusioned that Leggett won't play for EF, he'll se the light and want to join the legion of fans at MRP.

Does anyone have any idea if leggett is going to arbitration and if so what he is going to argue?

i'm not sure what he's arguing but I bet he hasn't a Leggett to stand on.
