it is the same size crowd that went to watch Subi play CL fifteen years ago.

The ABC Radio commentators questioned the attendance figures. Believing the crowd was a lot smaller than the official attendance.

Honestly, what is the point of watching a season of footy when you know what the end result is going to be?
I can only think that the WAFC have an ulterior motive for what will happen in the future and that’s why they keep their heads in the clouds pretending all is well. Either way, I think the death of the comp is around the corner. Perhaps the AFL has told our commission to build a case for a third West Australian AFL team.
Another black Sunday for the WAFL.

96pts in a GF what a disgrace the WAFL has become.

I read that the SANFL had 39K attend. How many were at our GF 15-20K. Half...that says it all. I hardly heard a whisper that the GF was on today. The WAFC should be ashamed.

One has to say, build up during Grand Final week - what bloody build up?
There was very little talk of the Grand Final all week. Certainly no Wafl speak on the radio. Had the tv turned on 2 nights during the week and no mention nor advertising the Wafl Grand Final either! Not unless I missed it?

Shark, I did say don’t bang any more nails into the WAFL coffin. You may well be hitting the next nail right on the head.
I looked at the list of WAFC commissioners. The list looks like something out Sesame Street...all muppets.
McHenry, Love. Cattier, Dorrington, Edwardes, Martin, O’Donnell, Randell. Only 2 have had any formal involvement with WAFL and both caused more damage than good. What would they care about the future of the competition. SFA.....

I hate to say it, but I dont think anything can be done to save the WAFL. The WAFC does nothing to promote the game and are beholden to West Coast and Fremantle.
For the first time in 40 years, I am seriously considering walking away from the WAFL. It has been a long time coming, but I refuse to watch a competition where only one team has a chance to win the flag and the other 9 are just playing to see who will be the victim the following year.
I'm so disheartened with the way the WAFL is right now I honestly cant get enthused about scanning the rest of the Football Budgets from 1987 to 2007 to complete the task I started ten years ago. I've made a start on it, but honestly couldn't care if I finish it or not.
I'll always see how Swan Districts are going as they have been a part of my life since 1979. I honestly dont see how any of the clubs apart from Subiaco and the 2 AFL teams will be able to survive financially in the next ten years. It is a one sided competition and it is a disgrace.

I went along today as a neutral supporter and didn’t like seeing such a drubbing, nor do I like fact one club has dominated recent history to the level they have.
But is that the fault of the WAFC? Are Subi just exceptionally professional and a class above or am
I missing something?
Normal equalisation discussions are focussed on lifting lowly clubs, as opposed to what seems to be a desire to impact on Subi. Not sure trying to impede a club who is successful is fair.
Unless there are zoning, finance or other inequalities I’m unaware of.

Another riveting season concludes, wonder who'll be playing Subi in next years grand final.
Is there any wonder there is barely a flicker of media or public interest in the wafl anymore?
