Thanks for the heads up DD, although I did spit out my coffee when Gavin Taylor started talking about the "integrity of the WAFL competition"

yep good discussion with gareth parker.

also some annoyed off west perth supporters calling in asking where has all the money gone?

WAFC has pumped in an emergency 250 k to keep the team on the field for the remainder of 2018, they are also funding Korda Mentha administration costs.

Board suspended for at least 5 weeks.

Well done to the WP players/coaching staff for keeping their integrity on the footy field for the WP fans....sums up their integrity more than their boardroom colleagues....well done to Billy and his boys.......

I have read most of the posts in this topic. There appears to be little comments on decisions made by the WAFC that have been to the detriment of the WAFL and its clubs.

For example the host club alignment was a decision made EXCLUSIVELY by the WAFC. What was the impact of that decision? Supporters of clubs were forced to watch players drafted from their club play for Peel or East Perth against the WAFL club they were drafted from. Not one person can argue that this was a positive to maintain or increase the support for the WAFL. As I have pointed out previously in 2012 we had 7 of the 9 clubs with an average attendance of over 2,000 and the 8th club was just a tick under 2,000. Fast forward to 2018 and we have 1 club with an average of over 2,000 and only one other club with an average of above 1,650.

We have the WAFC making changes to the colts competition, a reduction of games to 18 from 20 and a LIE from Gavin Taylor regarding the two additional matches to make up the 18. None of these decisions have helped show WAFL supporters that they should continue to support the WAFL. Throw in the dominance of Subiaco that the WAFC has shown no interest in addressing either.

I will point out the if the WAFC wanted to support the WAFL they have the wherewithal to do so. They have singularly failed to provide the foundation for a viable WAFL.

As mikeh pointed out Gavin Taylor mentioned the "integrity of the WAFL competition"; it is patent nonsense for anyone to try to sustain an argument that the WAFC has done anything regarding the integrity of the WAFL competition.

It asked in detail abt the WAFL, what would make me go, what changes need to be made, what could be offered and so on, it had suggestions to be rated on how to attract families, kids etc most of which were good, reducing prices, give aways etc.

In summary it was a good survey and did not dwell on the past but was attempting go forward and it was not on the WAFL website but the panel of folk contributing come from a diverse background

How did the survey come to your attention?

If you part of the Neilsen panel they send you an email, I would do 20 per week, one just competed was one on levels of government. You earn points which can be converrted to gift vouchers,

Has anyone noticed how little input there is on this subject from WP supporters themselves? In fact they have gone very quiet this year in general.

DD without any evidence to support it but I reckon they (the Oz posters) knew what was happening at their club, very quiet at the seasons outset and I think someone asked where they were!

WP have had a vaporising supporter base in last few years, and the callers that called into the radio today didn't sound to impressed with the way things had gone.

some other interesting points raised this morning on supporters.

Gareth Parker has established that , smaller donations and sponsorship had collapsed in recent years.

Also the accountant that called in after, about the "undisclosed debts" , he stated they can only be two things.

1. Invoices received that were never recorded he said that would be a breach of accounting duties.

or

2 casual debt payment agreements entered into that are now being followed up on by those that had been promised repayment.
