A Merger between 2 Wafl clubs could create a power club to challenge Subi and the Alignment teams. With the zone growing by 100% with 2 zones.

A merger would mean the end of two traditional WAFL clubs.

Agree 42 West Perth as they are is what we all want. But you know better than most that the Wafc has WP over a barrel here. And we don't know what there plans are for WP.

Based on my experience with creditors meetings and the VA process unless WP can externally raise (via donations etc) the money required to pay all outstanding creditors then WP will be wound up.
It will be interesting to see what creditor/s hold the most amount of votes. Generally each dollar owed equals one vote so if the ATO are owed $250k then they have 250,000 votes.

Most comps dock points when a team goes into voluntary admin cos it's such a bad look for the comp.

It would be the ultimate hypocrisy if the WAFC went down that route.

It asked in detail abt the WAFL, what would make me go, what changes need to be made, what could be offered and so on, it had suggestions to be rated on how to attract families, kids etc most of which were good, reducing prices, give aways etc.

In summary it was a good survey and did not dwell on the past but was attempting go forward and it was not on the WAFL website but the panel of folk contributing come from a diverse background

I just did that survey myself Grump through the "rewards Central" site. It was certainly one of the more interesting surveys i have done, and also my fist allocated towards the WAFL. As an East Freo supporter did i have some things to say!!

But, yes it was focused on what we can do to improve the WAFLin the future as you said

They also relegate the club to the bottom division of their League a la Rangers in the SPL (Division 4) & Portsmouth (and a few other clubs) in the EPL (League 2-the old 4th Division)...surely you are not suggesting WP move down to the WAAFL C4?!

Good post, also whether the employees/players are listed as creditors because that would give them votes also. Not being cynical here but if they have been paid up they may not be. Left unpaid they could have (could still have anyway) votes at a creditors meeting (if they are unpaid they are legitimate creditors). Interesting that the WAFC stumped up for the wages, again I'm not actually being cynical in that so they should.

Leeds United; we don't have a rule on it, but given what has happened to WP, they should introduce one in case a club follows in the future.

Subi's creditors took 10 cents in the dollar, includding the players.

ATO always come first, then I would say Venues West , it doesnt sound like the players are owed anything but they are down the list a bit, it doesnt sound like thats the problem anway.
A good post by the duck, tbh in my experience VA is a precursor to liquidation , unless its a good cash flow business that will allow trade out and there are some assets , i dont think wpfc meets either of those, Im quite surprised creditors are already being asked to vote on the future of the business, thats basically receivership or a step away from it, duck is right if they cant raise several 100k in a few weeks , then Wpfc will go into wound up..
