Shoulder chip...... get over it

Unka2 you can stick up for your Geelong mate as much as you like. However, the facts are the facts. Of the 8 clubs' coaches and captains interviewed in the lead-up to the finals last year which club's coach and captain did G Whateley not interview?

0-0 at full-time. Australia won in the penalty shoot out. There was a bit of a controversy over one of the Australian's penalty shoot out. The goalkeeper was ruled to inadvertently obtructed so it was re-taken.

OMG no. How bad is that?? Dont care who Whately supports to be honest. I think you represent the section of the WA public, who suffer from what could be called short mans syndrome. Ohh and just to put the shoe on the other foot, i remember when ted Whitten passed away, and ALL other teams played in a black arm band as a mark of respect, alas not the Eags, cos Guy Mc kenna said he wasnt a legend in WA football.

Also, apparently there was no video of the over 100 games he played for South Freo. In fact, South Fremantle was so hard to say that G Whateley didn't even try to mention that great club. Nor apparently was he aware of how big a name it is down Freo way.

One can only hope that now that B Cable is on the selection panel the likes of Bill Walker will be afforded the status of LEGEND at next year's induction. If he isn't then it once again confirms that it is the VFL Hall of Fame.

Also, congratulations to Ray Sorrell as well. Perhaps G Whateley should have let the likes of D Commetti to interview him. D Commetti would have been able to speak on an informed and East Freo supporter basis rather than the pathetic attempt by G Whateley who looked out of his depth and completely uniinformed in the interview.

You obviously watch it then to know what is on it!

Well to answer Stephen Michael's quote, probably about 90% of footballers in those days.

Well i will put it simply for you.... reckon ALL footy fans had heard of Whitten, reckon about 20% ( max ) would have heard of the people you mentioned, maybe Todd more cos he coached a team in the PREMIER competition in Australia. As i say 80% plus of people knew VFL, that leaves 20% who had a GOOD knowledge of wa/sa footy. Bit like all business its the 80/20 principal.
