BC wrote: the only hope i see bazza is if home grown EP kids see that opportunities are limited at WART and drop off like flies to other clubs. that could leave WART undermanned in future years and its domination may only be a temporary thing this year on the back of playing in last years GF. i guess we can look no further than FART to see that an alignment with a weak club doesn't guarantee success...so hopefully when the current crop of very good non-aligned players who made up most of last years GF side such as Smith, Johnson, Cadwallader et al start to move on and/or retire WART will come back to the pack.

Bingo. Their zone is one of the worst and they aren't allowed to recruit while they are top 3. Once their senior guys move on they will be where Peel is.

Yep BC that is a good Hope..but its just that, a hope.

I have no doubt that Peel will improve quite quickly although their player depth is not as good.

Peel should move up next year, I think it will actualy get worse to be honest both teams in the 4.

Barney if my aunt had whiskers she would be my uncle. Who knows what will happen next year. GF was predicted last year by many of us. BTW-Percy makes a lot of sense

Half the grand final may have been predicted by most of you, you all thought Peel was going to dominate the comp as well. How did that go?

Barney: the Fremantle reserves improved well enough, they could have easily won 6 or 7 games this season. In common with the Eagles, they will be competitive for the ridiculous final five next season. Keep in mind too, that whatever you think about the alignment -- whether Subiaco should have beaten them on Sunday or otherwise --- the fact remains that, the full or partial alignment has got the Eagles Reserves club into 5 grand finals in five years. Please remember that they qualified for just one in the forty years before that, and are quite happy to take everyone else in the WAFL for a ride.

Thank you Bazza, I agree with everything Percy said all 100 percent true. But that is not insight everybody knows all that. It the stuff you don't know that is even more likely to whip you all into a frenzy. I think our lucrative South West zone should be taken off us and the players allocated to the bottom clubs. I think the North West should be treated the same.

That was done before the season. Blind Freddy could see early doors that Peel were going to stay a blight on the comp!
Percy still made the correct points
