I really couldn't be bothered listening to it even if he made some good points. The guy had a used by date Similar to mine 30 years ago. They just wheel him out crank the handle a noise comes out of his holes. Totally disconnected from the reality of the situation however well intentioned.

Larry reading your Negative posts makes come to the conclusion you are argumentative just for the sake of it and obviously an alignment fan.

You couldnt be bothered listing to it!!! why? (Maybe the truth would hurt)
The guy has a use by date?
Wheel him out hand crank the handle and the noise will come out
Totally disconnected from the reality of the situation.

And now you run down a WAFL legend who knows about footy and if you listened to he quoted a Eagles x player in a lot of his converstion ... Wont give his full name as Glenn would most probably get run down as well :(

I suggest you are a WAFC stooge. and your opinions are NOT WORTH READING...

Shit I wish they had a BAR feature on here like FootyGoss YOU WOULD BE THE FIRST ONE ON MINE

Out of interest where were these the "given as" crowd figures? Official figures have yet to be released.

Why are the forum members so mean spirited to each other on here. I don't think I am the only one to think old Percy has lost touch with things a fraction.

As someone who chats to Perc every week at the footy I would have to say it is only you LB definitely not Perc who has well passed his used by date!
Perc still knows more about footy then you or I or anyone on here for that matter will ever ever know.

Hear Hear BH.. The guy obviously has met or even EVER listened to this guy talk. Percy is a guy who knows footy... Talks Footy and even though the loves the old Cliches like Head down first to the ball... Attack in Numbers, Tackle hard etc etc he is spot on.. Trouble with the modern coach especially AFL they are all about computuers and readouts and expert opinions from sub coaches..
Shit Footy isnt Rocket science and Percy expounds that point.
My son was at Melville High many years ago and Percy coached them on a few occasions... I listened to him and always walked away knowing he got the message accross to the kids and I was impressed with his Logical look at the game and his Football knowledge.

Agree BH the guy has a football brain that would be hard to beat by many of even the better coaches in the WAFL/AFL... From what I have seen Percys biggest problem (If you can call it that) is he says it as he sees it and some just dont like that.

I suggest you have a listen to the interview LB... You will see what we mean

Bazza bullshit he must of had a shit SF team anyway.. better luck next year with Curley :(

I made the effort to introduce myself to Percy on the weekend for the first time...the 10min conversation I had with him was one of the more entertaining experiences I've had all year at the footy. The bloke certainly knows his stuff, is still extremely passionate for the game and the thing I took most out of our conversation is tactically we were on the same page with our thoughts. He certainly doesn't view the game like most of the old timers I chat with and is up with the modern game. In my books the bloke is an icon and legend of the WAFL and should be treated as such if for nothing more than his passion itself. If you didn't know he still helps out with the colts boys and at his age this has to be respected. You don't have to agree with his views but respect the man for his continued passion for the WAFL. He still lives and breathes it, I thought most of you blokes on here were the same. I challenge you to introduce yourselves to Percy like I did last week and not see a little bit of yourselves in him. He took the time to have a chat which is more than most would do for some random stranger. A bit of respect here please fellas, blokes like him deserve it.

That is one of the best posts I have read on this site mate.. Passion is what it is all about. Unfortunately the Alignment is taking the passion out of me but thats another story. As I said if you talk to the man and listen to his points of view you will RESPECT him for his views and as a man who knows what he is talking about.
ps thanks for that post it has restored my faith in posters Here(Larry aside) :(

Just have a listen to this weekly interview with the guy and you will see where we are coming from..
