anchor...BH was swansforever27 on FG....he was a long term resident on FG and considering the way he hammered me constantly, by bringing some of my past comments out from the cobwebs, I reckon if BH says you said it on FG....than you did mate!

Ok let me put it this way......last game of the year 2014, SF v Peel in the play off for a finals spot..... Peels ex SF boy Schloithe kicks the winning goal to dump SF on their arse....would you be a happy camper or not?......or would you just shrug your shoulders and think I'm getting the best of both worlds.....or Pav coming off a lay off gets shirt fronted by one of SF defenders in his first game for Peel....ruling him out for the rest of the season.....would you be pissed and vent your spleen at the young SF defender?....even though you are wearing a SF beanie, jumper and waving the SF flag!!

Gee Anchorman we Could argue until we are BLACK AND BLUE!! B) Thats a joke

Had to reply to your comment quote

"Now to top it off we have one of those who has been asking to bring people to the WAFL, complaining that the two AFL aligned clubs may actually attract new supporters of the WAFL.
And as I said before. GIMME A BREAK.

UNQUOTE..

Are you serious about attracting new supporters to the WAFL? They would not be supporters of the WAFL at all as they would only be there to watch their AFL players... That is NOT supporting the WAFL.

Based on that pathetic comment, the folk who come to watch the Cardinals are not looking at Bradley et al when the make the journey to Venues west. You really need to be more aware abt the product you are watching

Spot on Grump. I certainly didnt make my decision to goto Joondalup based on what AFL players we had in on any given day. It was great when we did have a couple as it improved our chances as they usually are key players and high possession getters. I am sure most WAFL Supporters will agree with that and it was great to see the players who originated from WP back home for a game.

I suppose that tells a story when those same players will be included in 2 Clubs instead of being spread around to create an even playing field.
If 2 or 3 AFL players included in a WAFL club can make a difference to the result how much of a difference will be when EP and Peel teams are made up of a majority of these players?

Says it all

anchorman wrote: Grump I have been through this over on FG and WAFL online and had the abuse a long time ago.I had post removed from the WAFL site. Was banned by an over zealous moderator on WAFL.Was openly abused on FG, been there, done that.
Shark I thought it was all about money!!!Maybe I was wrong .but I don't think so.They have taken the money in both hands without hesitation. It may not be really what they want, but they were never going to get it where the AFL side didn't have their sides in the WAFL in some way.
I don't understand why those here, who see the Dockers reserves or second tier players as wasted space, are worried about Peel.
Lets face it the WAFL has needed a shot in the arm for some time now.most clubs appear to be in debt,so there can't be much working for them at this stage.
I don't see the two clubs, Peel and East Perth, being they bogey man sides most defeatists here are saying they will be.
Jimmy, I think all and sundry realise that the WAFL is a much needed competition to breed players, but there needs to be some adjustments as to how it can survive, other then in its present state.

Agree that the WAFL needed a shot in the arm, but the idiots that run our comp have given it a shot in the head.

The one thing they've never bothered to do.

Promote the comp properly with professional advertising campaigns and marketing strategies like they do in the SANFL.

Even Coca-Cola advertises and they sell bucket loads without it. It's a bit of a gimme in business.

On the top of the West's WAFL fixtures for 2013 is the promotional "catch cry" for 2013.

"The Competition continues"

Wow!? Does it....that'll get 'em flocking in.

But maybe not from what I have read here.

Yeah a lot of thought put into that one.

A promotional masterstroke right there.

Thanks for pointing that out Ben.. THE COMPETITION CONTINUES?
It would of anyway with NO HELP FROM THEM.
Promotion was left up to the clubs.
PR section at the WAFL - What a joke...

58 Shark love your comment - We needed a shot in the arm but got one in the head..

Last year in the budget Tracie wrote an article about how good the WAFL was going and crowds up, TV ratings up, Everything up.
Shit is is certainly going to go down now and it will never come back.
p.s Does Julia Gillard run the WAFC? Is she having an affair with Cooper?

Gotta laugh

I was thinking the same thing LH.

What has the WAFC done in the last let's say 5 years to promote the comp? and I mean really done. SFA in the form of advertising our comp whether that be media or paper. Who's the comps major sponsor? I missed one game last season and I cant recall who it is...is there one?

Anchorman, you ask us supporters and presidents what we should have done to improve the comp. Why not ask the WAFC who are paid to run the bloody comp. It wouldn't surprise me they start advertising EP & Peel in 2014 with all the states AFL players at one club.
