$11k on a turnover of just over $2m.

Makes you wonder about Subi doesn't it? $174k profit on a turnover of about $4.5m. I wonder where all the money goes?

Crowds were well down.

wages (staff & Players) , fees , consumables on & off field , facilities costs , variable costs .... it all adds up mate

11k Profit is a prettyu good result, yep crowds were well down across the board, cant see them picking up with the Host club deal next year ..anyway 11K is good.

Had a read of the Perth Website and News update..learnt the following

Perth are the process of negotiating a new 20 year lease with the Town of Vic Park, (obviously the current one has almost expired), they may get 20 yrs or may not.

The West Coast Eagles have agreed to contribute $1 Million to Perth for the construction of a new clubhouse, once the current one is demolished, ( I can't imagine them handing over a million bucks without some strings)

Brownes have just announced they are pulling out of the Lathlain Park naming rights deal..Perth are looking for a replacement,( that could have issues once the eagles move in as it may clash with their sponsorship deal.)

If you want to see where subis money goes have a look at their latest annual report and look at the full time staff they employ, they must have a full time staff of about 12 or more with a huge amount in admin.

It may be but the club report didnt really word it that way, obviously if WCE are going to fork out $1 Million dollard to build a new clubhouse, they will want to know whoever gets to use it will get 20 yrs out of it.

I can only see this going two ways, either EP keep the host club deal when the 5 yrs are up and mover to lathlain and Perth leave, If you honestly think the eagles are going to spend millions building a state of the art facility only to have all their host club players ( basically their reserves side) stuck at leederville you are kidding yourself.

or,

Perth become the new host club and stay as co-tenants in one fully unified squad and organised complex at lathlain ( this is the most likely outcome ).

Bazza, you will find that Perth are well and truly locked into the redevelopment with a 20 year lease. We will not be leaving.
Perhaps in time the host club arrangement will change and perhaps not BUT come what may Perth are going nowhere.
