Now that we are in off season, I thought I might try something to keep us all in touch with news, rumours etc. I have always been frustrated with the lack of off season coverage in news and electronic media of the WAFL during the summer months, so I am hoping that people on this site at least can keep the information coming, especially as it promises to be an interesting off season, given the possibility of player movements due to the alignment.

Many posters on this site have contacts within their respective WAFL clubs so I am hoping that if people hear some information from their sources that they will put some updates on this thread. This will then enable all of us to keep up with what is going on with each WAFL club and having it all on one thread will make it easier to check on the latest news.

What do you reckon? Do you think its worth a try? Has anyone heard anything from their clubs at this stage given the 5 clubs who didn't make the finals have been out of action for a month already?

I heard West Perth have all but signed Josh Pullman (ex-Swans now in Queensland) and West Perth are also chasing Wayde Twomey, although Steve Potente told me he is staying at Swans, I hope so as we have given him all his opportunities!

It was confirmed on the Claremont web site that they expected 9 players from the GF side to be retiring, they'll need a Colts & Reserves coach & a League assistant coach. Guess they'll be closely monitoring who gets delisted, eg Thomas Ledger at St Kilda.
Swandog, what chance do you give Swans in getting Andy Krakouer?

I did hear him say somewhere that if he didnt get picked up he was keen to resume at the club that ressurected his career, but I reckon he will get on another list

What a great subject Mike. If an AFL player farts, it's in the news even though it's the off season, but WAFL is totally ignored.
2x25= Seinor and Michael = 1xBrian Peake

That's what I thought Shark, it would be really good if we could keep this going through the summer because by about Christmas we may be looking for a distraction from the ashes series :S Also there are people on this site who know what's going on in their club, so who needs the media?

I have heard there may be a few leaving swans this year due to their financial situation??
I am led to believe Subiaco may be the club of choice for a few of the boys. U would also think there would be a few leaving East Perth? seal, brookes, swan (retire?), (wulf retire?)
This is just my thoughts on east perth.
The swans one i have heard from a pretty reliable source. Be interesting if they would snag Krakouer considering they have no money.

I heard Brookes was heading to Joondalup. Higgins is looking elsewhere also.
