MacAttack wrote: The best chance SDFC will have of picking players up with their cost savings you would think would be younger EP players jumping ship. Would be good to see Higgins go accross, has close ties to Swans area.

Clutterbuck and Payne are good sorts who would suit the ducks. Doesnt Twomey shop himself most times? Would save money for the club with no big on field loss him he chose to go. Kraks is a chance to return but would be asking for a decent $, you would hope he realises who helped him back to the big time and return for less than his asking price.

With the bleeding at EP and Peel it could be a big change in scenery next season. Subi will be trying to add experience.
WP are in the window for more and would be only adding at the top end.
SF are building and seem to be getting old SF lads back.
who cares about EP and Peel.
EF never really do much.
Claremont will have mass exodus and could look from within with some additions from experience leaving other clubs.
Perth should look within more, but will again recruit heavily.
Swans will be trying to save dollars and look outside the square.

Clutterbuck followed Swans all his life too before playing at EP

Exactly what I heard.

Clutterbuck and Higgins would be good pickups for little coast. Good age and some experience.

Good article in todays 'West' about Dayle Garlett. Hope the young man can get into the AFL system as he has certainly ticked all the boxes at Swans this year

It's great that these guys get picked up by a AFL club, but you gotta hope that it's not one of the WA AFL clubs that pick them up, or you know what happens then....

Exactly Falcon, I was thinking that the Dockers would be the best fit given what they did with young Walters, then it hit me, he'd be playing for Peel against the team that stuck with him.

surely no true supporter of the SDFC would begrudge the kid kicking 5 goals for EP or Peel v SD whilst aligned to WCE or Freo?.....main thing is he has gotten his chance at the big leagues.....if WCE did draft Garlett, wouldn't they have to delist Newman first?....thus SD would lose one and then gain one.....

What are you talking about? F##k this main thing is he got his chance rubbish, I hope he goes East or doesn't get picked up! End of story. I reckon each G7 club should form some kind of alignment with Eastern seaboard AFL clubs and encourage them to draft their products and give them inside info on who is coming through etc.
I bet your wrapt about Dalziel and co going elsewhere next year Freeze, I know the players certainly aren't! And I know of a couple of West Perth Dockers who were told by Chris Bond on the Sunday night to lay off the grog after they won the flag v East Perth..He was told to get Farked in no uncertain terms

I like your idea about forming an alliance with Eastern States AFL clubs SD in regards the up & coming players from the G7 clubs, I mean why on earth would we want to help out the 2 traitor clubs in our home state and then have our own play against us!!
...maybe freeze's mobs AFL listed boys are more than happy to leave the dilapidated Shark Park for the more luxurious surrounds of Medibank & Bendigo Bank Stadiums SD!! :pinch:

No FREEZIN IT WOULD BE AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. I hope sincerely he gets a chance to showcase his undoubted talenta at a non-WA domiciled AFL team.
