2009 was also the last time a WAFL Home and Away game attracted a crowd of 10k or more, The Foundation Day Derby that year pulling a magnificent 11,000 plus crowd, which was the highest WAFL home and away attendance since 1999. Nothing has come close since.
 

Baz that sounds like Freo oval.Great location in the middle of Freo.
Souths won in 09 pretty easy in the end.

Interesting to see how the new Moss St is after the redevelopment.

That game was actually at East Freo, it was anniversary of 1979 GF Day and got 11,500 or so huge day and was great to be there as all the stars of the 79 GF did a parade pre game around the Oval to big cheers - some sadly have passed away since then. Tbh I do not think we will ever see a WAFL Crowd at a Home and Away that big ever again.
