If you have a look at Subiacos hime crowds they are very very poor. They are averaging about 1100 per home game .If you take out the 2200 that attended when they they played fellow tenants East Perth , who get great crowds , they are averaging about 900 for their home games. That is very poor and I don’t know how they survive. Claremont average 1080 for their home games.

Yes that's correct. Currently Subiaco had 7 Home matches for a total crowd figure of just over 8 thousand three hundred apparently. And still have 2 Home matches before qualifying rounds end I think. That will make a total of 9 Home games. Whilst Home game crowds for their co tenants is currently roughly double Subi's. So far Claremont (at the time of writing) also played 7 Home games and are  on 8,800 peoples Home game attendances. Maybe Subiaco and Claremont memberships are low? From what I heard West Perth and Swan Districts Home matches have seen the best figures.

There's a graph on Facebook ,Wafl page.
That lists the average Wafl attendances since 2000.
The average Wafl attendance this year is 1744.The highest since 2015
Was surprised to see that. Well down on the years of 2008-10..When the average was well over 2000

2009 was the biggest year in decades with over 200,000 attending Home and Away and with less teams, before slumping to 180,000 odd in 2010 and has not recovered since to anything over 200K.

The tragic fact is, in less than 15 years 60,000 people have walked away from WAFL games.

Nah the average this year was 1623, which was the highest since 2019 which was 1656... but somewhat misleading given we had Covid in between those years. 2020 - 2022 were all Covid impacted.

So basically we are still down on pre covid numbers.

No point worrying about Wafl qualifying round crowd figures anymore - they've literally gone down the toilet!! Apparently this seasons figure is worse than twenty 22. Crowd figures were good for the first month of this season, then collapsed.

Thats strange given one of the best supported clubs in EP had a very good year, would have thought that would have boosted the numbers somewhat. Although we did cop a lot of wet weekends.

No surprise with the highlighted above seasons crowd numbers GTR as that coincided with Swans last decent on field era!

Swans vs WP/EP/Perth where all 5,000 crowds at Basso..
Clubs where properly compensated for there AFL drafts ,back then.
Swans where a powerful club in that era.

WAFL supporter basis are dying literally. I know of about 10 regulars that have passed on recently. Sad but significant in the WAFL landscape.

Spot on, those 60,000 missing from 15 years ago, are either dead or now to old/cbf to attend games  The remainder just lost interest. Time is not stopping either, the over 50s are about 90% of attendees.
