Only 1400 at the "blockbuster" EF v Claremont at that crowd magnet the WACA.

500 at dockers v spooners..LOL

1800 Perth v WP

around 2000 at basso pumped up with junior day free tickets.

Ordinary stuff in Perfect conditions.

And I hope it rains cats & dogs every weekend in September.

You have to get the crowd numbers from the official WAFL site . The crowd numbers posted in the papers are always wrong .2700 at Bassendean Oval is a great crowd for 2 teams not in the finals. It felt like a much bigger crowd. It was a brilliant atmosphere. 1880 at West Perth v Perth shows both those clubs have good following. 1400 for Claremont v East Fremantle shows Claremont just don’t much of a following.

Using the data from wafootyfacts it shows that thus years crowds is up on the last 2 years which is pretty good considering it has been very wet. The averages over the last few years suffer because West Coast will bring them down so it will be hard to compare this season to pre West Coast entering in 2019.
Claremont and Subiaco average  about 1000 per home game this year .Their combined average is lower than West Perths 2200 . Peel Thunder average 300 per game higher than Claremont and Subiaco.

If you have a look at Subiacos hime crowds they are very very poor. They are averaging about 1100 per home game .If you take out the 2200 that attended when they they played fellow tenants East Perth , who get great crowds , they are averaging about 900 for their home games. That is very poor and I don’t know how they survive. Claremont average 1080 for their home games.

Most knowledgeable WAFL supporters know you take The West WAFL crowd guesstimates with a grain of salt.....most of their "reporters" dont even attend the games they are supposedly reporting on....hence their ludicrously wrong figures!

Jords: subi may not survive, you have to be German or Irish as Bunton and Frank Sparrow have both pointed out in the past.

So if Claremont and Subiaco merge they still won’t have as many supporters as West Perth.
They are winning and getting poor crowds. Imagine if they were loosing they would probably be getting crowds of 5/600.

Oh well, if those crowd figures are accurate and I say if, Subi will just have to take solice in their exceptional record this century.
Big crowds or flags? Ask EP, SD, EF or Perth supporters preference.
