Which makes me more suspicious that there has been a tip off to the WAFC by someone.

i think the loss of 8 premiership points is harsh but i think the other measures are justified. We don't know how far souths were over.I think the fine is justified. The amount they were over should be taken off this years salary cap plus losing ten players points. The fine needs to affect the club off field and on field. Now to see that this administered equally to all clubs in the future.

Yes! cheating is a sad inditement on any competition but how many instances of cheating has the WAFL had in the last 30 years, a couple of drug cheats, a couple of salary breaches and one corporate trading breach.

There are no more than in many other competitions around the world and Australia.

I reckon they have been busted and penalised but the penalty does not match the culture of the WAFL.

SS your comments abt Subiaco are well said but I reckon most of us were just annoyed at the Subi Oval issue which place most other clubs at a disadvantage, it seems that you may be coming back from the advantageous situation you were once in!
Grump...apologies for taking this off topic and I acknowledge Subi's seat arrangements has been done to death but I guess I'll draw an EP analogy of when you vacated Perth Oval for soccer and rugby... if the powers that be said you could buy not be given for free but buy 500 tickets to the Glory and Western Force games and utilise your social premises under the grandstand to offer corporate packages, wouldn't EP have jumped at the chance?

You are more trusting of the SFFC administrators than I mate. The CEO is one of the best spin doctors going around

All round very shoddy work by all in sundry. Surely someone internally needs to take the hit for this stuff up
mate I reckon that person would be in a real bad place atm for sure no question and the statement yesterday tells me action has already been taken
WAFC turned us over and confirmed no deliberate breach rather a reporting box wasn't ticked off , a bloody expensive box

Of course, the point of my comment was that there is aways something that annoys folk like our lamentable alignment, it was more by way not an apology to SS but a point of explanation

Maybe he should pay the 25K out of his pay packet? Who out of Christie - Finance Committee and Van Der Weilen - Football Committee should take the responsibility?

Very concerning this has happened under current admin, especially given the President is Valuer/Auditor and runs a business based on that. I'm quite concerned they have accepted the massive penalty no questions asked, its clearly OTT and ripe for appeal.
President and board should be questioned.

The players have slugged it out all summer and now cop this whack.
They will question what are we playing for?
The season is over before it starts and lose the first 2 games and you watch the lack of motivation
as the season goes on just because of silly admin errors.
