I think Mark meant SA should have won by 10.
Had they kicked straight in the second half SA would have.
WA not only need a coach they need some selectors.
Maybe JL could explain why Subi had a quarter of the team.
When they are 9th on the ladder.

Sokol was okay kicked a couple.
The strange ones for me were:
Delahunty, why was he selected as a ruckman or at all?
Their bloke clobbered us.
Giro & Harris?
Kitchen was our best by far.
We certainly lacked pace.

WA didn't help themselves in the first half with poor kicking for goal. Agree that SA looked the more cohesive unit going forward, but some how WA had a chance to steal the win in the closing minutes.....

Interesting to read folk stating the selectors picked a side with the midseason draft in mind.....not sure any of Jones, Marsh, Jupp, Eardley, Kitchin, Black, De la, Mcinnes, Pearson & Sokol were even on the mid season draft radar before the squad was announced.....Florenca and Peogaro looked likely.....whilst Keitel showed why a depleted WCE didn't list him when they had a chance...

Yes DF Sok was ok, I thought all the Subi blokes were ok, particularly in the second half but I’m talking about being selected in the side on form in the first place. Who’s to say kuek may have kicked 4 or 5

Was talking with old mate on the telling bone, and the subject eventually got around to the state game. He was saying the attendance being 300 people. Surely to christ there should be another zero on the end of that figure?

Re the attendance, it was always going to be very small due to it being the AFL curtain raiser so unless you buy an over priced AFL ticket you dont get to go. Having it at local WAFL grounds should have continued, it's a benefit for the hosting club, anyone can get in for a reasonable price and the crowd would have been 10++ times bigger than what we saw at Optus, which had zero atmosphere. Maybe even look at a big regional centre. how good would it have been to play up at gero as a fundraiser for the cyclone damage following on from the very successful recent EF game, or up at Kal or Bunbury. When SA host they could do the same. So many great current players from both states are from the regions.

Gate A was the only gate and only opened at 11.45am so there were sweet FA patrons there at the start of the match at 12.

Just like last year's WAFL GF with Gate A opening 15 minutes before the first bounce. How much disdain do these flogs have for WAFL fans?

Answer : A lot
Would be interesting to find out how many people were watching it online. Generally the coverage of WAFL games this year has been good. It would have been great to have the game at a suburban oval as per previous years but that would have meant that the WAFC boffins would not have been able to have their caviar lunches and expensive champagne.

Don't wish to get off topic here, but......
Reading between the lines, and it appears the old topic of does the new facility really want the Wafl playing there has reappeared!! Sounds highly sus if only one entry gate being opened a quarter of an hour before bouncedown! Having a radio turned on most days, and not one mention of the state game being held by any of the radio stations must surely raise many questions?
The fact of no advertising or no pre-game media discussions of the state match is highly disturbing! All of which could lead to the broader obvious question.. Especially after the stupid silly debacle that happened on Sunday in relation to the East Fremantle game. But that is a completely differing topic for another time.
