Frustrating game but a good standard. I went. Kitch great.  Della not too bad. Harris not bad. Sokal our best forward.  As for the non subi's, I liked the west perth backs.  Rogers good, too. Turner was tough. Eardly good. The east Perth mid pretty good. Schumacher.

croweaters  clinical. Organised. But we could have won with a bit more composure and some  class up front.

Game was covered on abc TV tonight. Good game really. Umpiring went our way, too.

Not sure what game you were watching JL.
Della is not the player he was he looked slow.
Why they used him as a ruckman has got me flabbagasted.
Our rucks were smashed.
Agree Kitchen was probably our best as the stats show.
I thought Florenca was our next best midfielder.
Sokol was good, not sure why Harris or Giro got a game not sure either of them are at that level.
Eardly did some good things but like others turned it over.
Schumacher also got a bit of it but again mostly turned it over.
Pagararo was our best down back and Guadagnin was also good.
Fraser was disappointing.

Watched the live stream, coverage was quite good.

Firstly I though it was absolutely disgraceful that they had fixed times for each quarter for the highest profile 2nd tier game of the year, just shows what the numpties in power think of the 2nd tier. WA were closing on SA in the last and some of the SA boys looked gassed but given the ludicrous fixed times, they played it very smart in the last few minutes falling on the ball and refusing to get off it or get up or give the umps access to the footy, they wasted a good couple of minutes right at the end. The umps erred by not instantly paying a time wasting free. Smart footy by SA, and no criticism of them. The solution is to at least have time on in the last quarter.

As for the game, WA blew it in the first half with inaccurate finishing, where as SA were clinical. If WA had kicked straight in the first half they would have been 2 or 3 in front at halftime, but the same can be said to a lesser extent about SA in the second half. Generally they were well organised, had a very specific game plan and were very well coached, all the things WA weren't. I guess we should have expected that from a numpty coach.

SA played a short chip and run plan, their skills were excellent, constantly hitting targets, their disciplined spread was a major reason for their super fast ball movement, always had guys free on the overlap and forwards who were able to convert. WA improved significantly after halftime but were always chasing their tails trying to rundown a 3 goal deficit in a low scoring game. Credit to the WA boys for getting it back square a couple of times in the last, but SA had the poise to hit back a couple of times to do enough to hang on. A good game of footy ruined by the time issue and the fact our super coach appeared to only wake up at the haltime break.

Kitch was clearly our best, Rogers got better as the game went on Florenca was terrific after haltime at the clearences, the two Joondy backs were very good under relentless pressure, agree that Dela didn't look right, so shouldn't have suited up, Sok was pretty good, Keitel looked disinterested early but picked up his intensity later in the game, both he and Sok uncharacteristically missed some very gettable shots, they are both usually dead-eys, but the delivery into our forward line was mostly very poor.

So well done to SA they deserved the win but the WA boys never gave up.

Now back to the WAFL !!

I did not think we had a coach at all at times - there were serious problems midfield that weren't being sorted and that cost plenty in the end
Too many SA players running loose

Not enough WA players working hard enough instead of spectating.

They went in way too top heavy (11 talls, half the side) with the side chosen especially compared to the SA side who had far more speedy smaller types.
You would have thought they would have learned from the last time they played SA at Perth Stadium in 2019 where they chose a similar running side against us but alas.......

I think McInnes is a great wafl servant but gee he looked slow in what I saw and Keitel and Sokol are not quick either and made the forward line too too heavy with Delahunty and Jones also not quick.
SA skill level very good and had a plan, WA just boot it forward.
Not sure what other mobile forwards around.
Thought Kitchen Rogers Turner and Florenca good and Pegararo excellent.
Had enough ball to win but not as polished

So WA had  no coach, were too loose, didnt work hard enough, were  too tall, lacked polish and were too slow........sounds like WA deserved to get rolled by 10 goals .....instead of the final margin of 4 points.

Their effort and midfield talent should have seen them win by 10 goals

Yes, they blew it in their execution. They were good enough to win.
