TOO this is not about Ainsworth.
Not sure why you would bring his name up.
Everyone seems mesmerised by 51 possessions.
Have a look at the replay.
Most of his possessions are a little give to someone who is prepared to give it back to him.
Easy to rack up possessions with the old friendly one two sometimes three.
He doesn't hurt you all day long.
Check out his turnovers.
There are several Cl players who don't get as many possessions but do more with it.
I agree Shepard is not a coach's boot lace but I wouldn't have thought he is sole selector.
To me Bolton is a selfish player not a team player.

As MB wrote, fairly certain the state game starts at midday.
Although (as per usual) with the severe lack of pre game interest, no media advertising and doubtful radio coverage that may not happen, people have a right to be confused.

DF, Bolton has won 3 Simpson medals, 2 of those in State games, he is a proven big game player.

Bolton despite his 51 possessions wasn’t my pick as Claremont’s best last week, Edwards and Lim way more damaging.
Bolton should be in the team somewhere, play him half forward and he would kick goals

Agree Bolton surely would have to fit into the best 22 somewhere but I think Southerner might be on to something about them wanting to have a look at players for the AFL mid season draft

That is making a 110% real sense because no way in the world has the best team been selected! 
 

It's a real shame that we wont get to see the very best in form players suit up for their state. Schoithe & Bolton are no brainers for state teams. Why dont they just own up and say it's an exhibition game for the  mid season draft.
