i think todays results have thrown a cat amongst the pidgeons.it has muddied who may make the five and now the wooden spoon is not a foregone conclusion.anyone who wants to make the five will be wary of the beagles with more quality players to pick from.i expect east perth will be stronger after the bye.even peel should be stronger.i expect both claremont and subi should make it but  maybe the last round till we see the five finalised.

a few interesting fixtures this week coming including two top 5 clashes
Subiaco v Swan Districts will either open up the top 4 or put distance from the bottom 5
West Perth v Claremont is the same
South Fremantle v Perth is another or Perth could join the logjam for 5th spot
Mandurah has the chance to join that logjam or East Perth can
and ditto the other one or a wooden spooner emerges

WP have put themselves back in the frame and EF are now in the mix. Makes for an interesting back half of the season.

Call me a visionary as I've been saying this right from the first post. This season is not done and dusted by any stretch and FART and WCER will have a big say as they get players dropping back from the AFL. No clear flag favourite and the final 5 will be a toss up right up to the last round imo.

percentages are going to be a large factor in the final 5 wash up - if the cancelled round isn't pencilled in as a certainty either 8 or 9 wins is going to get clubs into the finals positions
upsets are going to be the wildcards
if the WAFC has any grey matter at all this is a marketing bonanza from here on

if !!!!

WCE reserves with ring ins arent really a fair indication of where the comp is at, Subi and Claremont are still the two stand outs for mine, South need to go up a gear to find any consistent form to have any hope of defending the flag which I think is looking ordinary to say the least, it starts this weekend with a wobbly looking Perth at home, I would say the will be out to make a statement after the EP debacle, well you would think so anyway. Tbh I dont think the top 4 will change much maybe a shuffle around but that will be about it, EFFC might sneak in, other than that the others are making up the numbers.

As I keep telling you all the comp has been so predictably boring for the best part of a decade now with the same Top 4 virtually assured of finishing in the same area of the ladder year after year.
Need any further proof have a look at the ladder as it stands currently!
