I expect EF to win the next 4 straight and go into the last 6 games at 7-5. 9 wins and a good percentage probably get you in. Top 3 is locked- and then it's a race to the finish for the last 2 spots. If EP can drag another win back against a Claremont or Subi then they're right in the mix as well. But EF, Perth and EP need to get some players back from injury- unfortunately, I'm not sure EF will in time.

Freeze I remember heading down to Rushton to play Peelmantle  a few years back and Bennel was just back from injury, played managed minutes, just half of each qtr against a very strong Subi outfit and before he came off injured (again) halfway through the last he had amassed 24 touches and 4 goals!! It was a treat to watch the bloke play, he was on another level, real shame his body couldn't stand up along with his attitude at times. Will be interesting to see how many minutes Schoey plays, but as you say its likely he wont be putting himself in harms way too much.

Freeze Yeo has been out a lot longer than Shuey and I also remember the bennel game but I hope you are right although I don't mind if he gets 50 as long as they lose

For me, the year so far has been about injuries and those clubs with the depth to cover.

Subi, Perth, EP and EF have all had extensive injury lists. Peel and West Coast have been effected by AFL fortunes on that front as well. Swans, Claremont and WP have been relatively healthy. SF have struggled to find their best form and have a few injuries as well.

Subi and Perth (lesser extent SF) have had enough depth to keep winning (or win enough in Perths case) while EF and EP- both who have rebuilt their lists- have fallen short.

Some people have said the WCER may cause some problems in the second half of the season. They are turning out with 11 or 12 listed players this weekend, plus Brayshaw. They may get more still in the weeks ahead. Of course, they are playing Subi this weekend, but if they lose by less than 5 goals, we will know that they won't be easy beats as they have been so far.

Not too many bottom teams boast an on ball division 0f the calibre of Vardy,Shuey,Hutchings and West which wouldnt've  fazed the Subi sides from their juggernaut era.
