You are kidding aren't you?
Some Clubs will not survive.
There are at least 2 I can think of that will struggle.
Just saying some prudence needs to taken.

So the whole Football League should go into hiatus because you say some clubs will not survive because of their own financial mismanagement?
On the other hand there are also some clubs who need to be playing to make money to stay afloat so what do you suggest for them?
As I posted earlier if it is given the go ahead to resume playing with crowds then we should play football and if a club or 2 thinks it is in their best interests financially not to play then forfeit the season simple!

Demons Forever wrote: Yes we benefit from WCE being at Lathlain.
But no where near the extent that EP prostituted themselves.
The main benefit has been the introduction to new sponsorship opportunities.
Obviously those sponsors see PFC as a good sponsorship opportunity too.
As for ground maintenance I guess you can put that down to sub-lease charges.
Our financial stability stems from 20 years of good financial management having lived within our means.
Not prostitution.
As for your Rabbi, he got out at the right time.
Not too many cars being sold at the moment.
Read your post again, the crap may be more obvious second time around.

As much as you try you cannot deflect the rubbish you put forward, at least I have the ethics to admit my clubs failings and as for you good management it is a football club you are in not a social club for the residents o Lathlain to attend. If it was a football club where is success on the field, at least we get to play finals even without the WCE.

Your suggestion is as I have said is self serving and frankly selfish!

Looks like the Perth boys are literally cashing in on their 20 odd years of financial squirreling now.... sensible off field foresight now amongst this COVID hindsight... but geez you would need to find a positive in all that TBH, considering the off field pain the Perth boys have had to go through watching their club win multiple wooden spoons and play zero finals over this 20 plus year period of squirreling....Be a bugger if it doesn't change a thing for the Perth boys on the park....but I guess you gotta be in it to win it in the first place...something us EF fans can't guarantee right now....

I heard that EF president on the radio yesterday on 6PR. What a drongo, if he is now head of the club presidents then god help us.
I agree with Beas that if we get the clearance to play by early July then we should definitely have a season albeit a short one. It will need crowd attendance and some astute fixturing. No point playing games at night in July and August but maybe play the latter rounds and finals under lights.

I used to have some respect for your posts Grump.
No matter what you say.
Any success you have had is tainted.
Just hope you don't play us in finals.
Your record is not that good. lol

BH the season can go ahead.
My point is:
Don't play lose a bit of money.
Play lose a lot more money.
Not sure all the Clubs can afford.
One thing is for sure you or I won't be making the decision.

By the way the opinion regarding the loss of money is shared by people closer to the game than me.

As I said previously one thing is for sure, play or don't play PFC will survive.

What a way to wake up to out someone has lost his or her respect for me, really sad and hurtful if I gave a proverbial. You have a nice day and enjoy your clubs prosperity and lack of on field success,

As for the premierships your not alone, I really only accept the 72 one as the last true one, 78 we had all the second raters from perth looking to boost their super and even then we nearly lost!

The state government meeting tomorrow because WA has seen no new infections for the past 7 or 8 days, with only 11 active cases remaining and only 3 of those are serious. WA, along with the NT, SA and Tasmania seems to be miles ahead of other places in the world.
Going to be interesting listening to the WA Premiers press release on the weekend to find if any more restrictions will be lifted. If the approach is positive, perhaps the Wafl clubs can gear up for a season start if they choose to?

Will the AFL allow the WAFL to start before them?
