Yeah, not bad by eagles supporter standards.

IMO cannot be compared to the Hall/Staker incident. Hall had form. Gaff impecible record before this.
The Grey/Johnson double shirtfront square up should be looked at. There was a forearm/elbow to the head and Gaff was dazed and no free kick.

The extent of the injuries over rules Halls record, bear this in mind Brayshaw will miss rest of the season, and cannot eat solids for 4 weeks, Stake received a cut lip and was back in training the next day.

Anyway a better comparison is the BUGG/MILLS incident, not 10 years ago, Mills received mild concussion . no broken jaw or teeth knock out, he was give 7 reduced to 6 for a early plea,

Gaff is in a far worse position than Bugg, expect 8 down to 7 for early plea.

That's a fair assessment and appropriate outcome if it transpires for mine.

This partly explains the poor behaviour of the Eagles supporters...apparently they didn't get a replay on the big screen so unless they saw it live most wouldn't have known just how bad it was just the aftermath of Brayshaw on the ground then being helped off.

Probably no different than from you Swans supporters all those years ago?

Geez they are selective on what they show on the screens BC. They certainly didn't' have any issues finding and showing Johnsons attempt to square up on the big Screen replay?

They do it because people fuck up but supporters always look at the good side of that person rather than the bad. The fact the dockers then targeted him with late, high hits that barely got a call from the umpire only made them support him more.

He’ll get his dues and pay them like any other player has done.

As every other club has done before them and will forever til the end of time supporters will always get around their players and look at the good in them.

Definitely a dog act & deserves 7 - 10 weeks. Apologies are shit.
However charging him with assault only elevates him to Leigh Matthew's standards. He could become the player of the 21st century & I dont want that.

So how long do you think Cameron should have gotten?

3 -4 weeks which was about right. This was a DOG act.

yep...agree Dwert….the other interesting thing about this is that the former AFL Diversity Manager Ali Fahour was charged for whacking a bloke in an ammos game in Melbourne and was convicted and sentenced to community service. The bloke he hit wasn't injured anywhere near as bad as Brayshaw and it was in the middle of a brawl not off the ball and one on one...so I think there's still a few more twists and turns to be played out here.
