Tell me about it mate, lived in the Pilbara and Goldfields and it sucked as you say, even now I live in Perth , when I vote I think of the folk in the regions , its a big state with a harsh climate.

I spent about 30 years in the NT, Kimberly's and Pilbara's and let me assure you, the last thing we wanted was bloody DLS!!

I used Country hicks as a colloquial term 58, WA is commonly referred to as Hicksville in an endearing fashion. But I do know a few city dwellars from the sticks stuck in the past. Western Australia needs to get with the test of the world that has Daylight savings! They use the term summertime, and not just cold European countries like our expert Baz reckons!

Yeh, I guess we are seen as "hicks" even though they keep pouring over here - still that's off the topic. I agree with those that say we don't need it.
