I didn't say that, I said the most recent surveys say that support has dropped to 38% about 40% with ALL voters, not just people in beachside burbs - you may not like it but its a general plebiscite, one vote one value, regardless of where you live.

BTW I live 5 mins walk from Cott Beach and voted no.

SD: it affects me, but we each have one vote at a referendum or general election.

AN ATTEMPT to introduce daylight saving to WA appears dead, with a poll revealing that fewer than four in 10 Perth residents support the move.

The ReachTel survey, taken across eight marginal State seats last month, found just 38 per cent of voters supported the introduction of daylight saving.

With 59 per cent in favour of leaving the clocks the way they are, it left only 3 per cent of people unsure, indicating voters’ minds are set on the issue.

In a surprising result, the poll revealed the 18-to-34-year-old age bracket was the least likely to support daylight saving, with just 31.4 per cent of those polled in favour. Perth’s 35-to-50-year-olds were most likely to be in favour, backing the change 52 per cent to 43.9 per cent.

Even in my area beach side area Cottesloe the margin was only slim for - 49 51! We kind souls spare a thought for our brothers in the Wheat belt and Goldfields who don't get an early sea breeze!

i didnt know the sea breeze knew whether we had daylight savings or not, it must be pretty smart to come in at exactly the same time every day !
