Does every single thing that happens in perth, have to suffer whinging from people of our state who do not like change, and how everything should stay the same.

Roe 8: half the people who are protesting about the construction of Roe 8 in the beeliar wetlands, have never been to beeliar wetlands in their life but when there is something to protest about they are the first ones their tying themselves to trees. Also would like to congratulate the morons who tied themselves to the factory whilst the materials had already left.

Other Examples include: Perth Stadium, Daylight savings, Elizabeth Quay.

Good to see colin barnett actually show some balls and do something with our state.

I believe Western Australia needs daylight savings for the following reasons

1. To enjoy our weather, our weather is perfect for most activities in summer.
2. It helps out local businesses
3. Keeps the 2hr time difference with the eastern states.

It is astounding that arguably Australias best two states in term of weather (Queensland and Western Australia) doesnt have daylight savings.

So basically, you are one of these protesters you mentioned, as far as daylight saving is concerned. Qld and WA don't have it because we don't need it. The climate is not suited to a 8.30pm sunset in the middle of summer.

Daylight saving is an apsolute shocker in WA.Its still dark at 7am in the morning in February.No good for people who start early in the morning.

How is being dark at 7am "no good" for people going to work?....no wonder why the snowflake generation is what it is....who gives a toss if it is dark at that time? ....FMD move to Syria and see what "no good" is.....truly farken unbelievable? .....

So what you are saying boothead, is that people are not allowed to have an opinion? I'm neutral on the Roe 8 project, the stadium was a must for the WA sporting world, DLS is crap in WA and I hope never to see it in my time, EQ is an improvement and is a small step forward in the presentation of Perth. So because I don't agree with all you put up, I'm a whinger? Go figure!!

Because people who work in construction freeze start at 6am in the morning in summer.Last time we had day light saving we where struggling to start at 7am.Theres no lighting in construction freeze if its dark you cant work.It was 38 degrees at 7.30 last night.Do you want 38 degrees at 8.30 at night.
Doesnt suit a place with a Mediterranean climate when the sun will sink in the west at about 7.30 tonight.

Goes to show what shit gloomy states the rest must be that they feel the need to have an extra hour of daylight in the evening.

Thats the thing DD.You dont get an extra hours light because they take an hour of the morning people.

how about most people who work from 7 or 8 until 5 in the afternoon, shouldnt they have the right to be able to visit western australias beautiful beaches after work?
