I don't think you'll get any argument on this site d2013. I would love to have been a fly on the wall in the FART rooms after the weekend's game as they tried to sing the Peel song...it would have been a solo performance from Ugle and that's about it.

They actually showed them singing it at the end of the channel 7 broadcast. It was awkward to say the least. They may have had a cue card in the middle of the circle

Has been happening for 3 years mate, EP themselves had 13 Eagles playing as well and it could have been worse with Griffin a late withdrawal from "Peel" and Nelson & Brown held over for "EP" due to WCE playing this Thursday Night.
In essence "Peel" only had 3 players of the 22 from the Peel Region who took the field taking into account Bootsma- ex SF, Ugle- ex PH & Lawler- ex SD leaving Morabito, ROB & Bell as the only 3 from the area which was apparently their charter when entering the WAFL 20 years ago!
It is about time a limit was placed on these 2 "clubs" whether it be 10 or 11 maximum AFL listed players allowed per match only!

The thing I don't get is why is Fremantle having it's players participate in this sham when the season is over for them?
Why aren't they playing more Peel product players??
To have 17 or 18 of these jokers in the team is a farce scam and just shows you how poorly run this competition is..

We need to kick their arse on Sunday to stop these cheats from hijacking our finals.

As long as the budgies or shockers don't make the finals then this will happen , give the shockers current state you can expect the peelmantle to be stacked for the foreseeable future come finals time until this shambles ends which if either of the local afl mobs have their say will be never.

Bit ordinary calling them cheats and i am a Cardy follower too, BUT

WAFL set the rules, Peel are only playing to those rules. Blame the WAFL for this predicament.

Yep 17 Freo boys on paper Demons 2013, definitely does wind local WAFL fans up.....

though 10 of those are ES boys.....Morabito, ROB and Bell are dinky dye Peel products....but BH from memory arent Hughes and Yarren from Peels junior zone originally?.....and isnt Lawler a case of a junior using another WAFL clubs zone to play their footy but residing in another WAFL zone.....happens all the time.....so fair game there.

So that leaves 4 Freo listed boys from other WAFL clubs.....plus Ugle and Bootsma, but then again it has been common practice over the years for returning AFL boys to go to other clubs to play ?.....eg: Wilson , Lockyer, Duffy, Riggio, Menagola etc.... so nothing new there I guess.....every club does that, so fair game there.

...pretty well thought most folks were "ok" with the alignment,as long as the WAFL clubs retained their own drafted Freo or WCE players on match day?.....or is this simply not the case now?......and do opposition fans also want that reverse draft back in again for Freo's ES draftees to even out the playing field?......

the rest are Dockers from the Eastern States.
would be the lowest percentage of players from a zone to play in a WAFL final, not sure what that does for the comp - not much if you ask me.

I guess there's nothing stopping Peel/Freo doing it again this week. But what about the situation with East Perth reserves this week? If it is a 5 game minimum games played in the reserves they can roll out Karpany, Bennell, Allen, Snadden, Mutimer and Tunbridge (if he's not suspended).

Anyone know the deal??
