The Olympic Games has a massive tv audience in the United States BH.To the point that swimming finals are scheduled for prime time east coast USA timeslots.Phelps is up there with the best of them from all sports.That 200m butterfly had 4 good chances and he was not the favourite but got the result.Bolt stlll the biggest Olympic star hes a showman entertainer.
USA Today called Phelps the greatest American since Abraham lincolin.

Amazing to see Phelps churn out performance after performance......very disappointing night for the Aussies in the pool....the Americans have dominated once again.....lot of talk coming out of the Aussie camp prior to these games....all just pie in the sky it seems....

surely Phelps with so many golds in a variety of swimming disciplines is ahead of Bolt in terms of greatness....but then again Bolt is definitely the greater showman of the two.

Amazing how being able to swim fast can have you held in the same light as people that really made a difference to society and the world at large

Maybe most of our swimmers should try a little toke and have a few frothies before Olympics as it doesn't seem to have troubled Phelps whatsoever in fact he must have won more medals on his own then our whole swim team has since Sydney!!

Both the Campbell sisters missed the start in the 100m freestyle.Over swam and lost there rythem.Only in one final tommorow morning.We did pick up a silver medal.in pool thismorning.

We have done a fair bit better in the pool than London, which was an epic fail.

But there is no escaping the Campbell sisters failed to get a medal tonight which was a big anti climax.

I didn't know Phelps had tested positive, unlike the Russians and Chinese.

maybe Phelps ought to do us all a favour and wear his medals in the pool...that way we might be able to keep up at least...he's a once in a generation athlete that's for sure
