TBH , with the exception of women's hockey and water polo I think its basically over, Boomers might get a silver.

Canaoe/Kayak (x2) - Decent medal chances

BMX - Outside chance

Women's Hockey - Always a chance but seemingly a bit out of sorts

50KM Men's Walk - Tallent was awarded the gold last time retrospectively. So maybe?

Basketball - Boomers a chance for silver but more likely bronze

Sailing (x3) - Should at least win 2 medals. Hopefully sneak in a gold

Beach Volleyball - Coming up shortly. Would be a massive upset for the ladies to get past the USA in today's Q/F

Equestrian - Outside chance

Cycling - We were expected to do better but Great Britain have destroyed all-comers. Slim pickings from here on

Women's Water polo - Might sneak in for a medal.

LH there is talk about possible medals in Weightlifting.The Russians where red hot favourites but are all banned.Normally dominated by Eastern European athletes.

GTR there is plenty of "talk" of our medal chances if you listen to Basil and the "knowledgeable" crew from 7/West media but in reality we will be pushing it to reach the tally's of 20 or more years ago!
And I bet we have spent more than double the dollars on these guys compared to Barcelona too!

Your right BH..When the Eastern European Soviet Block collapsed in 1989.We got access to some good Eastern European coaches that had been full time professionals long before the West.To my knowlege Team GB poached all our coaches after there shocker in Atlanta.There should of been a shake up after London but maby now.The British Press is having a field day at Australias expense.

We peaked in Athens and have steadily declined since then.

Very clear our swimming trials need to be moved in line with the USA. Can't listen to Bazil calling the swimming it's shocking. Call the race accurately not pretend the Aussie has started well when in fact they are tailed off last.

Baz to have Athletes choke we all know the pressure the Athletes are under..To me we have to look at the coaches.Maby the current Olympians arnt as good as the Athens Aussies,AIS maby look at them also.
