I know many on here have been scathing of Essendon & Hird re the fight against ASADA. Now the players have demanded to see the evidence ASADA has against them via the Players Association I just wondered what the vibe is amongst you all. Personally, I think this is the most interesting moment in the whole investigation as the players, not Hird or the EFC, are actually standing up for themselves and their rights. Interesting few days ahead.

Yeh, I'm fucken sick of it. This whole Essendon saga dominates every football program including Brownlow medal night when all we should be talking about is what a great reward for one of the hardest working and dedicated players in the game who does it without the need for some fucking low life coach and biochemist to inject shit into his body to try and gain an unnatural and unfair advantage. James Hird and Paul Little are scum as far as I am concerned. The sooner those two are out of the game the better football and Essendon will be and we can get back to normal.

Good on them. If you were charged with murder you would like to know who you murdered. Show the evidence or shut up.

What a joke of a club answer the SCN and you will see the evidence, instead these clowns take it to court to try and get off on a technicality only to get smashed by the judge and not to mention a payed holiday to Paris for that psychopath that was suspended by the AFL Bombers supporters are delusional if they think their players aren't going to cop suspensions.

The players have been playing wait and see with all the sideshow in the courts until now and thru the AFL Players Association & their lawyers have asked to see the evidence. This is not an Essendon FC or Hird led directive, this is from the players who I believe are now trying to distance themselves from both coach and club as this moves in to the next stage. Seems the players are continuing to stick fat atm.

As for Hird injecting shit into his body, irrelevant from the players point of view. The low life chemist was "the most sought after sports scientist in the league at the time he went to EFC, everybody wanted him" Leigh Matthews words not mine.

If I was a player having to answer the SCN I'd be saying we agreed to and signed off on being administered Thymodulin Alpha, were told that was what we were injected with and believe this to be true, the bloke who injected us is under oath with the ACC saying that is what he gave us. Unless ASADA can then prove Dank lied and perjured no case to answer especially when considering the negative tests from the samples sent to Germany. Would put the onus back on ASADA to prove their case, whatever that currently is as they haven't yet detailed it to the players.

I wasn't referring to Hird injecting shit into his body though he did. Read it again. I said Matt Priddis didn't need some low life coach and biochemist injecting shit into his body.

Just get the f.. k on with it and take your medicine and if you are a Essendon supporter or member you should be making it clear to your club you will no longer support the club as long as Hird and Little are involved in any capacity.

The players suffering from AIDS are they DW, stop trying to muddy the waters mate the evidence will be shown when the players answer the SCN.

Ok Peter, if you were a player right now, how would you answer the SCN? How would you say "no I didn't take TB-4"? If you believed you hadn't taken it, how would you then prove it.

The players are playing a dangerous game effectively trying to call ASADA's bluff. They will not be bluffing. The players have blindly followed the club and have most likely dug themselves irreversibly deeper. If you care to do some research on ASADA, drug testing and sports law, you will see you don't have to be caught with a needle in your arm to go down. What kind of defence is "I don't know what they were injecting me with but it wasn't ... "

The eyes of the world including WADA, the Aus Govt, athletes in other sports that have gone down the river are on ASADA and I have no doubt that the players are in deep trouble now. I very much doubt that any "deals" will be available to them now.

Like a lot of things in life, when you do something wrong, perceived or otherwise, instead of pushing a bad position or arrogantly and bewilderingly standing your ground based on bad advice like James Hird, just be open, take your medicine and then you can sleep at night.

I reckon there will be a class action down the track by the players against the Essendon FC and that is why Paul Little has tried to get the ASADA investigation declared illegal through the courts. And then the Essendon FC can counter sue Hird, Dank and any other individuals who were responsible for implementing this program. Players and their wives and partners will be anxious about their own health down the track and the health of their children.

And any class action won't be limited to the possible effects of what was injected. Most players and their families and partners would have suffered a great deal of stress and anxiety over this whole saga.
