I don't believe in the 'if they'd kicked straight' theory Mike. If the player kicks the goal instead of a point, it gets back to the centre for a bounce. Who's to say the opposition won't then take it down the ground and kick a replying goal? Once it gets back to the centre, it's a whole new game.

I'm not saying they would have won shark, but if they had landed a few of them, particularly in the first half it would have put a bit of scoreboard pressure on the Hawks. It also may have given the Dockers a bit more confidence going forward.

3 point margin for me, 2 miss called free kicks resulting in goals for the Hawks. A wins a win however. Good enough game to watch but most average GF since '07. WAFL GF better, Kerr kickin 50m goals from the boundary in the rain! Dockers choked. Ballantyne is a twat, Walters had reversed parked a semi uphill and still didnt get a look in.

I thought Freo were very average in first half. Hawks showed how to do it under pressure. Freo did come back but I just felt the Hawks were handling the big stage better. Freo got some late scores at the end but when you kick 1 goal in a half, you ain't going to win a flag. Missed opportunity for Freo, you gotta grab your chances.

It's amazing when your team wins a premiership, it is the greatest feeling in the world. Losing one just kills you, that feeling of whether you can get another chance. They are so hard to get in too. St.Kilda know about not taking your chances. Anyway 18 teams will start from zero again next year & do it all over .
