Whoever wins the midfield battle wins the game and i reckon Sandilands and Co can get on top,Freo by 4 goals and the weather if wet suits Freo as well.

Hawks have a couple of ?? hanging over the team,if Buddy and Roughhead dont trouble the scoreboard and chase there kicks up around the wings and Freo can shut down Gunston then the Hawks will have to find 7 or 8 other goal kickers to win the game.
Thats the key to the Freo winning the flag they go into the GF with virtually a full team in form.

Freo by about 4 goals, weather will suit & they will strangle the Hawks all day. If Crowley does a job on Mitchell Hawks will lose. Freo are playing the much better footy at the right time. This is also Lyons moment in which he will not want to let go of. Freo's time has come.

its amazing how the ones your team lost tend it stick more than the winners.

The saying "you have to lose one to win one" is the biggest load of crap you can hear.. If Freo are good enough on the day they'll win. Didnt bother both the SA clubs too much..

Dead right terror, that saying is a total myth. As well as the SA sides how about

Sydney 2012 - first GF for 6 years
Collingwood 2010 - first GF for 7 years, playing a team that had been in the GF in 2009
Hawthorn 2008 - first GF since the 90's playing a team that had won the premiership in 2007
Brisbane 2001, playing their first grand final against a team that had won the premiership the previous year

I'm sure there's lots of other examples but this saying is just an excuse for a team if they underperform IMO
