Dont upset the $imple Twuckie fellas he will need Daddy to come in to provide some emotional support again soon ...sad really to have spent the best part of a "few" days on the SD vs FART thread it would suggest some serious issues there maybe things arent going to well personally for York's Matty boy!

certainly some rather interesting behaviour from the Subi supporters, they seem rather excited to get over and post on the Swans match day threads and our kiwi friend is running behind them like a good little lapdog.

anyhow back to the footy, hopefully Simo is back as surely we need to throw Notte in the forward line.
good to see the reserves winning but apart from Rudy none are much better than what is playing.

TOSG the one positive if ozfooty shuts down there will be no forum for your puerile and inane comments. Given the performance or lack thereof more pointedly and accurately of your spectators when the few that were present for the 2015 Grand Final deserted prior to the presentation after the Grand Final. Of the few that stayed to say their response to each player being presented with their medal was tepid at best would be to grossly overstate the warmth of the crowd's reaction.

42 you appear to be an educated articulate man and fair game for you to criticise certain comments but you have let yourself and your undoubted high standards down by concentrating on one particular posters comments and not being shocked and ashamed at the comments by one of your own that wish severe harm and injury upon opposition players who I'm sure have little or nothing to do with this site. I'm so disappointed in you Swan.

SS I think you are a reasonable and fair person so I am going to put this to you on the basis that you will at least think about what has really happened here. I am aware that you probably know the Subiaco posters that have been involved in this thread so I will keep my comments measured.

If you go back to page 2 of this thread you will see the following comments from the aforementioned Subiaco posters in the wake of yesterdays bad loss for Swans

“The WAFL needs to step in and perhaps drop Swans down to ammo's until they can get themselves together on and off the field”
And the other guy said “jokes aside outer...the bogans are an embarrassment to the comp at the moment...just watch the loyal fans drop off like flies if they haven't already”
I put it to you that these statements were not genuine attempts to discuss issues but deliberate provocation to get the emotional response that they ended up getting. That’s called trolling and then to get all offended when they got a strong reaction smacks of hypocrisy on their part.

I want to make it clear that I do not in any way condone the swearing or wishing injuries on people. I find that as abhorrent as you do. But really SS what did they expect, a bunch of flowers and a thanks for your comment?

My frustration is that I have been trying to generate some discussions in the Swans thread by posting some reflections about the game but I have found my posts are consistently lost amongst the personal abuse that has been provoked by these two guys in Swans threads this season. It is not witty banter, it is nasty stuff designed to provoke a reaction. Yes the reaction has been over the top but I think we all share the responsibility to treat each other with respect and try and be constructive if we have to criticise and not behave like 5 year olds.

Unfortunately the standard of discussions on Ozfooty have deteriorated this season and it reminds me of the death throes of the footygoss site.

Thanks for reading and even if you don’t agree with what I have said I hope this gives you an insight into how disappointed I am in the demise of what has been a really good discussion site for WAFL people.

A fair response Swan and all the more so for acknowledging what has been said by both sides.

Thanks SS. I just wanted to point out though that whilst we are both passionate black duck supporters Swan42 and I are not the same person :P

.no MO just chatting mate.....me knees are too knackered to run TBH...seriously thought Rudy got drafted though MO?...thought your constant spiel about him got him his ticket out of the WAFL......still playing reserves at SD is he?...fark what did he do to upset Harding?....perhaps Broad is who I am thinking of?...how is he going at Tigerland?

Can anyone at swans shed any light on the Murray Newman situation? Possibly dropped to the ressies Friday after an indescretion of some sort and didnt handle the situation to well?

Not that many you'd reckon.Their roll up at away games is bad enough, but it also demonstrates Dockers Fans don't really give a shit about their partnership with Peel.

See what you've done John Ditchburn?

There were a few in the Mcdonald Stand, some in the tin shed at the Bassendean end and a small contingent in the Bill Walker stand. I got the sense that most of them were family of the players. The reaction to Peels goals was almost complete silence
