It used to be great and Swans and EP have always got on well off field. But I have noticed the clientele had changed and I know longer feel comfortable. I'm told the players of both teams still get on quite well so no animosity which is good. As far as the incident at Freo Oval I was just trying to confirm the death threats. I have been threatened at Joondalup and Bassendean.

I can recall a game a few years ago between EP and SD televised on ABC tv where the filth supporters almost came to blows with the bogans at 3/4 time I think it was. Officials from both clubs had to intervene..it wasn't a good look and got quite heated from memory.

Is it any surprise the players get on well a good number of them are Swans boys after all.
The only crowd incident I can recall in 35 years was that EP supporter who attacked Brad Smith from $ubi.
I haven't seen any other clubs supporters in my years of WAFL footy who openly smoke dope in the crowd at games unlike those behind the goals in blue & black!

I have found the Perth EP and WP EP games far more eventful. I Don't really consider Swans and EP to have a strong rivalry. I believe there is more EP players at Swans than visa versa am I correct.

Incorrect Larry I believe Newman, Bennell, Naitanui & Johnson all played at Swans. Whilst only Slater & Wityk currently play for Swans Kalimeris listed but not playing!

I would consider Johnson a Victorian. I have not seen Natanui even as spectator but would love him in black and blue.

Larry Bird wrote: I would like to thank 720 ABC for the call very informative. The third man up rule is a grey area, they are not considered a ruckman so different rules apply. They could pay a free kick at every stoppage if they pinged taggers for blocking players from getting to the football. My view is you get good and bad decisions but the best team normally wins. Ames is entitled to swan dive every time he is touched he can join the Obriens and the South boy in the free kick leaders. Can anyone confirm that at the Swans vs South game the police had to be called because one or more Swans fans where threatening to burn the members down and kill everyone. A little bird told me this was the case.

Correct...an utter disgrace - the 3-4 involved were being feral all day, security had words with them a number of times during the arvo...when they copped it in spades by us SF members after full time, the true bogan personas came out...cops called but the scum fled prior to there arrival...

Ok sounds like my spy was on the money as usual. I was threatened in Manjimup also a couple of years ago by some Swans supporters. It just isn't safe for someone of my age who can't defend himself anymore.
