I loved our in and under fight for the footy today and they certainly listened to Hardings impassioned speech at 3QT. This could and should be the springboard to take down a few more teams in the coming weeks like WP and Clare, two sides we know we are definitely as good as or better on our day. Lets hope we can bring the same intensity as we brought today on a more consistent basis and it augers well considering we have a stack of players to come back from injury and others from our ressies, 18`s commitments and Colts knocking on the door too! Ah its a great feeling on a Sat night after winning against the frauds plus going into a bye! Wil sleep like a log tonite! Carn the Ducks!!!!

Yeah mate a good hard slog of a win today not pretty but I dont care when we beat that mob of fraudulent imposters!

Southo he is a talented player when fully fit and has an x-factor for sure and for your sake I hope he comes up but it seems this year he bulked up a lot either by training or hamburgers..do you know if he had a full pre season or what his story is?

The use of Tallen in the ruck and 3rd man up around the ground was a master stroke by Harding today. Good to see lessons learnt from previous encounters against the ferals. Tallen's influence on the result today can not be understated. Faulkner was super impressive around the clearances, even more than usual and only had a couple of poor disposals to play one of his best games for the club. Davo looked like a man on a mission from the first bounce and along with Tallen set the mark of intensity for the young blokes....was outstanding today. Broady continues to impress and I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he gets drafted at seasons end. Has become a super player as his confidence has grown, is rarely beaten, reasonable height and with speed and courage to burn surely has to be on the radar of AFL clubs. Tony Notte was also superb today constantly beating those AFL listed goliaths who parade themselves around as footballers in the air. Good to see our better players up and about today and playing well in a game we just had to win. As pointed out above by WAG they kept driving the ball inside 50 all day and our defence was up to the task. A great win against a team that came to play today.

Yeh agree wholeheartedly with your comments DW, our defence has been our strength this year contrary to the thoughts of various commentators around town on WAFL sports shows etc..I wonder how much attention some of these people passing comment actually show towards how our defence has performed. And in recent weeks without Simmo too. I think a lot of our 10-20 gamers are starting to learn how to take advantage of and assess tight situations In games now and its great to see guys blossom like Grescos for instance, Rudy, Wilson, Ansey, Burnham, Broad and even a bloke like Howard who has been around a while but he is rarely beaten one on one and I have great confidence whenever he has the football. And yes Amesy is like a fine wine, just gets better and better! Harding out coached the professor today

Selwood has already got the knives out for Daws's fully eagle paid job too mate, the used car salesman and Larry 'Dick' Bird will not even get a say in it either!

Does anyone know the attendance? I hope millions of people turned out to help Swan Districts celebrate the Independence from the alignment day.

Mate he's one of those blokes who's injury prone - weight was put on to absorb the hits from the shoulder op a season or so ago

They'll bring him back via the reserves again bet on it
