The rules do say you cant shepherd or block the ruckman from contesting a ruck contest and WART did it not once but twice too :) Dicky Bird made comment of it earlier freeze despite him previously admitting he never actually attends games at Bassendean!!

surprised Dean Turner hasnt come out in the paper saying the Eagles got a rough deal from the umps and that the young kid that played Hille ran out of gas in the 2nd half and was the reason they lost.

I would like to thank 720 ABC for the call very informative. The third man up rule is a grey area, they are not considered a ruckman so different rules apply. They could pay a free kick at every stoppage if they pinged taggers for blocking players from getting to the football. My view is you get good and bad decisions but the best team normally wins. Ames is entitled to swan dive every time he is touched he can join the Obriens and the South boy in the free kick leaders. Can anyone confirm that at the Swans vs South game the police had to be called because one or more Swans fans where threatening to burn the members down and kill everyone. A little bird told me this was the case.

you are pretty talented if you can see Ames do a swan dive through a radio.
you should be writing to Stephen Hawking, not wasting your time on here.

Larry you are entitled to your opinion like all posters on here, however I fail to see what your last point has to do with the match between Swans and East Perth which is the subject of this thread, unless of course you are trying to stir the pot.

Dicky Bird was definitely at the game boys.
In fact the warm courteous friendly Swans fans even asked him if he enjoyed his first experience to Basso and then wished him a safe stroll to his car & trip home!
Not sure why he pretends to have never been there and to have "seen" an incident through his radio speakers just makes him look even sillier than we already know tho maybe all this talk of out of zone picks has him confused!

No problem really Mike - our members is constructed of Concrete & Steel so I don't think it would matter much

But of course anyone at that game in the members would have seen two of the hardest nuts ever to play the WANFL game , Basil Campbell & Ron Boucher , having a beer together - such is the respect the two clubs have for each other.

Not much goodness is held for the current EPFC entity however & Howson is reviled particularly

I can only go on what the commentary reports. I have been going to Basso long before most of you I would think. It used to be great and Swans and EP have always got on well off field. But I have noticed the clientele had changed and I know longer feel comfortable. I'm told the players of both teams still get on quite well so no animosity which is good. As far as the incident at Freo Oval I was just trying to confirm the death threats. I have been threatened at Joondalup and Bassendean.

Seriously doubt anything sinister occurred or anyone convicted - after all it would have been in your club's major sponsor's headlines online & in paper form yeah ?
