If swans start to go down the tube, hopefully the other 7 WAFL clubs can do something to help. Last few years we've had 8 1/2 clubs and now we're down to 7. Losing another could start an avalanche and I don't think the 2 AFL clubs would lift a finger to help.

Very noble of you to suggest that Shark but why should other clubs be asked to assist in an issue that was self inflicted by poor management starting back in 2009/10.

For the record: at the AGM last night it was stated UNEQUIVOCALLY and UNAMBIGUOUSLY that ALL of our major sponsors have committed to the club - SIGNED, SEALED and DELIVERED. We will continue as an ongoing concern as the Swan Districts Football Club. To paraphrase Mark twain our announced death is very much a mistake.

We certainly need all members and supporters to continue to support the club to their fullest extent;

Congratulations also to Tallan Ames and Tony Notte - our captain and vice-captain for the 2014 season.

the wafl needs to lose clubs like swans, like it needs a hole in the head.
we can all get narky and go on about deserved outcomes, but none of this is good for the wafl. its not like the real loyal swans supporters deserve any of it, all rivalries aside. the reality is none of this is good for anyone who loved the wafl. I hope they can sort it out.

Ducks were on deaths door 10 years ago, banks were hours away form closing them down. They got help then from all, sadly the past administration blunders have really smashed this club. Cannt see any more handouts but i do hope the Ducks stay around for while longer

Jacky rang up Swans asking to come back and has contacted a few clubs, nobody wants to pay the 30k clearance fee for him..
