difference between valuable and best, i reckon Notte was our most valuable player last year - his year was outstanding..
just reckon Twomey was our best player in terms of ability..can play back, forward and middle and have an impact in all areas...

That's why Twomey was tagged as the barometer. Dumped to reserves due to what I believe was a difference of opinion, Harding said attitude, only to take out the Simpson medal in the state game...he will be missed. Swoop still most important for structure so Notte can play wherever needed. Had his best year ever playing that role so don't mess with it. Having said all that without Ames I reckon we'd be totally fkd....looking for a big year in 2014 from the kid Faulkner

I'd be getting on the black & white bike and making sure Brett Wolfenden was back at the Ducks for 2014 as well ..... free return of a very good frother of a kid

Agreed. We often had more drive through the middle when he was in the ruck. He played FF, CHF and lead-up forward at various stages and occasionally had a stint in key position down back. He was also the man Harding turned to to push back and stifle opposition momentum. I wish we had 3 of him.

I think our biggest concern will be covering the losses of Lammie, Lobb, Roach, Robinson and Twomey. We are really going to need kids like Faulkner, Boeky, Blakely etc to stand up.

Hams I'm less concerned about. He's a terrific player but we have really good medium defender depth. Pratt, Casserley, Blight and Latch are all talented players who could barely get on the park last year. They will be virtually recruits.

I'm also not too concerned about Hilder. He really slowed down and struggled as the season wore on last season IMO.
