With a $1.75million debt it will take Swans years to trade out of this situation although the attached link does give some hope. Best of luck as I wouldn't like to see one of the G7 clubs go down the gurgler.

So did SD actually make a profit last year then? They paid $190,000 back on their debt.

So they start to repay into an existing debt to then create another debt somewhere else and hope that transfer fees are going to help. 80K won't eat much into 1.75M.

Bottrell says membership remained steady but the numbers on the Ducks website says they are down about 25% on the previous year.
That said bad news story. I want the Ducks to survive and i am sure they will if there fans get behind them

Not saying the Swans story shouldn't be reported, it absolutely should. But so should the other clubs that lost more in 2013.

A club has lost more than $140K last year yet got no mention at all.

i bet they dont have over a million dollar debt hanging over there head though.Most clubs are cash poor but not in dire debt. The news probably becomes a story because players departed and no recruits. On field performance is all that any footy fan really cares about. Going be this article they have lost plenty of players too.
would rather see feature stories on players any day anyway!
