…And Swans are not going to go anywhere in the league by having 46 Ball Disposals per goal. Looking at the score card and I see Swans had the advantage at ¾ time to the tune of two or three goals and then fell asleep in the final term. West Perth having their noses in front at the final siren.
Going back to 2013, the Swans league team finished the qualifying matches with 27 ball disposals per goal which was close to the average. In that year finishing the season in 3rd possie.
The following season saw Swans finish the qualifying weeks with 26.8 Ball Disposals per goal which was lower than the average. Again they finish in the top 4.
The 2015 season sees Swans finish the H&A fixtures with 28.9 Ball Disposals per goal which was the third best in the league. That year saw Claremont push Swans out of the Finals by percentage. And Claremont’s figure was worse at 31 ball disposals/ goal.
The Swans league team really lost the plot in season 2016 running at just a tick over 38 Ball Disposals per goal. The best figure for that year by one of the other teams being 25.7. Swans were a long way away off the pace and that reflected on the ladder standing at the conclusion of the qualifying matches with only the 2 wins.
At the completion of 2017, the Swans league team finished with 30 Ball Disposals per goal being a hairs width above the average. And they finished 4 th that year just ahead of the Falcons.
2018 saw Swans finish second last whilst achieving the average Ball Disposals per goal for that season
Last season for Swans sees a figure of just over 37 Ball Disposals per goal. Being the second worst in the league. Swans were doing 13.1 more disposals/ goal than the best figure which is far too many.

After yesterday’s match Swan Districts achieved 46.7 Disposals per goal being a very high figure.
Whatever Swan Districts did in the third quarter of yesterday is what they need to do consistently.
Is just a pity they fell asleep in the final term, although West Perth are happy with the result.
Swans need to get their Ball Disposals per Goal figure down. Cannot afford to fluff around in this shortened season otherwise it will be over in the blink of an eye.

Mark if you play youngsters you get this. He’ll be good but needs games. What’s he played Less than 10? Give him time. It’s not Tony Solon coming off half back with 150 under his belt is it. Perspective people.

It’s league football not juniors, Waite is 23 this year, you must have low expectations if you don’t want blokes to at least put their body on the line
I don’t consider him young, our young blokes has a crack and skills mistakes are understandable.
Grainger Barras is a kid and flew into every pack

Is this the kid who ran away from the 50/50 ball late in the third in the back pocket in front of the members ...if so best we give him a game next week to redeem himself before it defines his time at SD. Most awkward moment I’ve seen a SD player in since Andy Holmes ducked his head at the McDonald Stand shadow v Subi back in the day.

That’s the one DW.
Broady never ran around a contest, just made bad decisions with the footy, totally different.

Congrats to WP on the win. Obviously disappointed by the result, but despite some clangers in the backline in the last I thought the defence played as best they could. In the second quarter the ball was in WP's forward for what seemed an eternity, yet at half time WP had only three scoring shots total for the game. At three-quarter time that total had increased by just two. We jump up and down about dumb football by Reidy and Waite, but they make mistakes because the avenue down the ground is always blocked. Swans’ biggest problem - and it has for seasons - is their inability to win the loose ball from packs and at stoppages. Defenders will always switch to the others side when there is a chance of a loose player. Turner was quiet – except for the third quarter – but Anderson might fix this fault of our inability to secure the loose ball. Our defenders are put under extreme pressure – and thus eventually make mistakes. Noble – again – has to move so far from goal to get the football that he eliminates his contribution as an effective forward. I do not condone kicking across the ground – they show they do not have the skill and it takes the boundary out of play as a defensive weapon – but the problem yesterday was further up the ground with our usually dearth of winning the football off the pack.

On a side note, it was good seeing Swan42 there yesterday after a season’s hiatus.

Broad was good before then.
Still waiting for your replies to my PM since you like to snipe without any foundation.

Turner was the only player we had with 10+ possessions at half time - most others had only had 4-6 touches - notte 0 at that stage...amazing to think we were still in the game considering lack of ball we had so you have a good point about the backline.

As for the inability to win loose ball around packs and stoppages we had this fella called Faulkner a couple of seasons back. His disposal wasn’t great but winning pack ball was his thing. Kinda player we need now with all the kids around

Jesse ran his arse off and was our best in the first half. Faded late when Black, Manzone and Nelson took control. May have spent too many tickets. Maybe he’s unfit. TRSM I’ll talk to you in a public forum laddy as I do not trust a spiteful or hurtful word that comes from your mouth. Happy to answer any questions in front of all of these fine people on this sight.
