Have any Swans supporters seen dumber football than Reidy and Waite delivered in the last quarter with their kicking into the middle ?
Waite could be the softest player I have ever seen for Swans.
Well done Falcons kept running and never gave up.
Anderson and fisher were good, hard workers

Dumb, Dumb Dumb and only beaten by Aiden Clarke;s effort of kicking the ball away and giving away 50 m penalty when the ball is in your forward line and you are 6 pts down.
Also how hard is it to demand that one of your forwards stays in the 50m arc at all times.
I lost count of the number of times we were streaming forward and had to stop , go back or sideways because we had no one in the forward line.
Same shit - different day.

Wish you were right Southerner but having seen Swans kick 1 goal 2 in 3 quarters of football I am not hopeful for this season. Yes they played brilliantly in the 3rd quarter and showed what a bit of direct run on football can do but the other 3 quarters were abysmal, really West perth should have been considerably further in front at half time. It is hard as a supporter to try and work out what they are trying to do out there. There seems to be no direction or strategy in their play. Too much handball and kicking across the goal front and they gifted West Perth several goals in the last quarter, as MO said Reidy and Waite were the main offenders. They seemed to be trying to save the game in the last quarter instead of looking for the two goals early in the piece that surely would have made it too hard for the opposition. They only lifted again when they fell behind. I am just at a loss to try and work out the coaching here.
Again the club are very big on kicking competitions, kids playgrounds and chase the Swan which of course is good for the kids but surely they have had enough time to fix the time clock given the fact that the season ahs been delayed so long. Very poor and amateurish by the club. Not a happy supporter tonight

mate keep in mind you've got a few new boys to the club & that does take time to knit - in the past couple of seasons it may have been bigger margins to fight back from too
it took a typical West Perth fightback to get the 4 points out of your hands

I’d like to know what our game plan is because if we are going to play like that Notte may as well go back to the backline, best mark in the comp and we have no interest in kicking it to him

It is the same plan as last yesr.
Have good marking forwards like Noble and Kohlmann and today Notte and then make sure none of them stay in the forward line so when we do get the ball there is no one to kick it to.
We are scared to create contests.
Gee imagine if we did and actually won 50% of them.
With Claremont beating $ubi today next week should be fun.

The club continually asks us Swans people to turn up which we do and today in great numbers on a wet day and yet they rarely if ever deliver their part and that is a skilled, committed side with a game plan to get it into our forward line as quick as possible preferably by foot and get the win for these committed loyal supporters.
You hope many of the thousands there today would show up all season but who could blame them if they didnt after saying to themselves it is Groundhog Day at SD same shit year after year...I know I am!

Absolutely disgraceful that for the very first game we didnt have a working time clock, we have had nearly 11 months since the last game at Basso did anyone at the club bother to check to see if it was working during the week?

Congrats to Howie on his 150th game a great achievement life membership...just a pity some of your team mates didnt show up for you on your big day.

Can tell you Swans supporters one thing, you beat us in the air. Your pack marks were impressive. It was a game of 3 quarters. Swans mistakes cost the game, that's all it was. Discipline.

thanks for the posts people: the amazing thing about this 'saving games' idea which has become fashionable in our code over the last twenty years, is that, it does not even work most of the time in soccer -- the home of the strategy.
