Sean Ervine was seeing Geoff's daughter basketballer Mel Marsh at the time, but headed to England after to play over there.
Murray Goodwin came back to WA after his Zimbabwe career finished up.
Have a vague recollection Andy Blignaut came over here as well around the same time,

the current coach probably could have done with a couple of years learning before taking over but this hasn't been a coach thing
there's been serious dysfunction for a lot of years within the heirachy - the move to Burswood badly split them and came at the cost of Dennis Lillee
the whole selection process stinks what's the point of developing youngsters only to ignore them ?

Yes CA have already declared Australia/NSW are the 2019/20 Sheffield Shield Champions AR.

BH, considering NSW won by 12 pts, with little input from the likes of their Aust boys in Smith, Warner, Cummins, Starc and Hazlewood....I would hate to think how much NSW would of won by if those boys had played....kudos to the efforts of Hughes, Larkin, Solway etc up top with the bat and Copeland, Conway, Abbott etc with the ball for leading their state to victory...well deserved Shield win for NSW I reckon.....not sure why you called it a win for Aust/NSW...If only WA could do the same....been a few years from memory.

Freeze earlier in the season NSW had the likes of Warner, Smith, Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood & Lyon available when they started the season 4-0 before the Tests ramped up.
The game they beat WA over there all bar Warner (personal reasons) was playing then.

BH I did say little input from their big boys....their back up boys carried on with majority of the job, that to me shows they deserved the title....well one can certainly say Tassie, SA and WA didn't deserve the title....only good things to come out of WA Sheffield shield season was Cam Green and to a lesser extent Matt Kelly and Josh Phillipe...the latter 2 had their moments without really taking their moments to the level like what Green did....
