Another very ordinary day of Shield cricket by WA (we have said that a lot over the last 20 years or so) with the QLD openers putting on 170 odd for the 1st wicket and lost only 4 for the whole day in compiling 300 odd.
Another wasted season down the gurgler and yet you can bet your bottom dollar the WACA CEO will call it a success.

WA will probably finish bottom now BH which hopefully may generate some change. I think they need to consider replacing Voges although I think the problems in WA cricket go a lot deeper than the coach.

i dont have all the answers nor do I have any inside information on what has constituted so many poor seasons now but I tend to think there are too many Marsh's involved whether that be in a Coaching or Leadership variety whilst I also doubt if David Moody's name was David Bloggs instead he would have lasted this long as a WA bowler with such a mediocre SS record.
Just a pity so much politics from the past has meant those who were involved during our greatest era of the 1970s/80s havent got more heavily involved in the cricket side of things.

the fact that so many talented players have left , and with more looming , says there is a big problem
and the selections are clear as sump oil - basically non-inclusive
too many wrong people in cliquey positions for way too many decades & this won't see change while that exists

The team has hit rock bottom in the 2nd part of the season with large defeats by SA and Tas and a probable heavy loss to Queensland tomorrow. The end of the season cant come quickly enough.
