Yes, he’s taken Perth to Arbitration.

If he wins Perth will get 10-15k.

According to Townsend, Perth were offered 20k.

Who are the bright ones?

Beggars belief. Happy for Cody to play for NF.
He won't be playing for EF.
By the Way it is Cody who took it arbitration.
Gee there are some not bright people here.
Mainly EF supporters.

But if Mineral Resources are not going to arbitration and EFFC are (as some on here are insisting) than Leggett must be taking EFFC to arbitration - and you say it is the East Freo supporters that are not bright?

And when he loses??

He will then be back at training at Mineral Resources - will be a little awkward at first but after a while you probably won't even remember any of this happened.

He won't be back at MRP.
Not committed, so down Freo way is perfect.
So NF it is.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

Something here for you EF boys to chew over. Maybe for Cody to chew over also.
If he loses in arbitration and his contract is upheld he will still be a Perth contracted player and required back at the club.
If he does not return to MRP immediately and start training he will be in breach of his contract and liable under law.
Now I am no lawyer but, it does seem to me that this could be a very costly exercise for him. Perhaps he may be able to seek compensation from EF for breach of promises and wrongful and misleading advices.
Now, what were they?? Well firstly, a rent free home, an increased salary, a clearance from PFC, a guarantee to play at half back with clear pathway to an AFL call up.....
Hmmm. I wonder who really are the big losers in this prolonged saga?

Care to provide any proof that those promises were made?

A crime for which punishment is having to return to Mineral Resources for the term of his natural life.

Ti Em you have no idea what you are talking about. You are all fantasy and other general gibberish.
Give it away before you make a total fool of yourself.

Now what could be more amateurish than a club that sets up a contracted required player from a rival club in a rental on the clubs doorstep and making all sorts of promises knowing full well he is ineligible for a clearance and heresay from a, disgruntled player is filtered down to supporters who jump on this forum bleeting about it.

It's blatantly obvious who are the true amateurs here.

Wow did any of that actually happen?

Well you will look pretty silly if it didn't, or should I say even sillier?

i am sure that makes sense to you DD. I will confess i have a not clue as to what you are on about. i'm just going along with the coach and the line that it is between Mineral Resources and the player. Whatever will be will be. Our season does not hinge on this or any one player - but you guys face ruin if he goes apparently. This would explain why you are so desperately trying to keep a player who for whatever reason desperately wants out.

You are delusional mate. You are the ones making the play, you are the ones with all the work to do. Simple fact is we are not going to allow a required contracted player we rate highly to switch to a rival club for standard fare. Is that difficult for you to comprehend?

i am not only delusional - i have not the faintest idea what has gone on behind the scenes - evidently you do though. Yes i do find it difficult to comprehend why you would want to keep a player who does not want to be there. What difference does it make - hes not coming back. Why drag it out like this - it just looks so desperate.

Stop trying to convince us we want Cody back. Never said we want to keep him, he just won’t be playing for you in 2020.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.
