Double standards! DD (Dumb and Dumber) can personally attack others and gets away with it!!!!

I do not see dd called out for his nonsense like other members are.
He attacks other users & is abusive.
Do your standards not apply to him also?


 

What’s the problem? Old Easts was way off the mark because the discussion has never gone off topic. Tiger Tales and Bazza decided to cash in and attack DD personally so they got what they deserved and let’s be honest, they were asking for it. So don’t be dumb and try and say the two are the same, because it’s not. Some are trolls that target others on a consistent basis. And I have no doubt you know this but do you call them out? No you don’t because you are weak.

I rarely call out other members. I commented on the parity of treatment with regards to all posters, specifically referring dd's attack on 3 other members.
The other members have been dealt with in accordance with your rules & powers. There is no need for me to question their punishment.
I was a little confused because one member was not punished. 
In the past, I have engaged in banter & taken as good as I have given. I have met some of the posters in person & had a laugh about that banter.
The members will make their own decisions with regards to who is weak & what is fair & what you posted.
 

Are you playing dumb puppy? I am DD and you all know it. I am the one who provides this forum for everyone to enjoy and benefit from and have put in hundreds of hours keeping this site running. Yet some people think it’s ok to take cheap shots at the administrator and think it’s somehow unfair that some get banned for it. I’ve been way too lenient I can tell you.

No one calls out any personal attacks on me, not one person but as soon as I retaliate then who gets piled on? It’s a pack mentality and people show their true colours on here.

Just go back a few pages on here and see if you can identify where DD was personally attacked and tell me it was warranted. Can you do that?

While I agree with the sentiment, the reality is that some councils think this way. City of Vincent has torn down the fences at Litis Stadium (the old velodrome built for the empire games), home of Floreat Athena FC, because the city felt it needed more open green space.
Yes, the pitch has had burnouts on it, and yes, there's been more vandalism and breakins - but these dumb hipsters will never admit they're wrong. Yes there is the odd dog poo, but apparently putting up some "no dogs allowed here" signs is an adequate solution.
They also knocked down the old grandstand there because they didn't want to spend money it. This was a grand old structure akin to Perry Lakes and Beatty Park that the government just let go. But I digress...
I don't know the ethos of the EF council, but more and more you will see this type of thing happen as building and maintenance costs continue to soar. Colin Barnett was kind of right when he wanted to reduce the number of councils - bigger richer councils means more money available for maintaining community infrastructure such as "stadiums" which unfortunately will not remain a priority while the spectator numbers continue to dwindle.
EF  council can only justify upgrades to the ground by making it available to more in the EF community and this is the result.
Without reading through the detail I'm guessing they might be looking for a summer tenant as well?

Exactly. Finally someone replying to the discussion without getting personal. The second (outer oval MCG size) at Lathlain is accessible 24/7 via a couple of small gates but clearly sign posted no dogs allowed because basically 5 football teams train on it, WCE, Perth league, colts and Rogers cup girls and Eagles AFLW. 

Yep Colin tried but failed to get rid of these small micro councils and as you say they are bowing down to locals. They got rid of Richmond Raceway now it’s probably led by those residents that want Moss St as open green space. Hopefully they’ll be volunteering to roll their sleeves up and help put the temporary fences up and down for derbies and finals.
