Quite right DF, we are almost at AFL level but not quite, although from all reports the pre-season at Subi has stepped up several notches being driven by the WAFC subi focussed restrictions which may turn out to be counter-productive as our guys will come out bigger fitter stronger and faster for next season

You will win the next 3 to 4 flags before the well will run dry SS. I don't think you will need the so called restrictions to win games mate, anyway the other genuine WAFL clubs have been restricted for 15+ years at the hands of the seating arrangement

Not sure it will last 4 years Leedy, Horse is finished after 2020 and Dela and Kitch have said the end of '21, so maybe reasonable to expect 2 more strong years, they are huge boots to fill, those 3 in the top 6 or 7 players in the comp and make up most of the Leedership group. Astonished Sokol didn't get picked up so thats a plus for us, but no Deluca who's staying in Vic for work/study reasons.

They are a very strong well run club, my Bro in Vic follows them. They are a stand alone club and should have beaten Richmond in the VFL GF, 2 gettable shots at goal in the last few mins went astray. Do the VFL stand alone clubs have a points or salary cap?

It was reported in the press this morning that Deluca is not impressed with Carlton delisting him after 6 months. He was reluctant to make the move apparently but Carlton gave him some reassurances that they have now gone back on.
His frustration is understandable I reckon as it would be very disruptive to relocate short term like this. Looks like he will stay in Melbourne and play VFL.

That was always the risk DG. Hopefully others will think twice about nominating for the mid-season draft after the way Josh was shafted.

It'll be interesting to hear what comes out about the club's finances at the AGM on Wednesday night. Hopefully we haven't booked another big loss like last year. If we have, we can look to our friends up the freeway for guidance and just not pay anyone....that'll do it.

I would advise against that BC, it wouldn't be a great competition with both WP and $ubi extinct.
