G'day Jack...all the best of the festive season to you and yours...yep agree, why would you want to sign a train wreck like Leggett and all that comes with it? I think it could have been handled a lot better by all parties but in particular by Leggett himself. A few of the Perth boys have mentioned that he hasn't done his AFL chances any good by the megaphone diplomacy and I tend to agree. Hopefully a solution is found and we can put it to bed.

Latest mail is that Zac Clarke has signed with the Lions ........... the Doncaster East Lions that is. They compete in the Eastern Districts FL and were premiers last year. He will join former Subi players Chris Phelan and Simon White (ex Carlton), they have also recruited Mev Weller so will be a pretty strong unit.

Merry Xmas to you, the FLM and the rest of the bunch also BC.

And as this is a Subi thread - to the rest of those brave and hardy souls on here who have endured (footy) hardship and turbulence over such a long period of time, but remained loyal and staunch to the maroon guernsey - an enjoyable and safe festive season for you all.

I do believe, that under the rules, Clarke would be eligible to play with Subiaco the following season.

Spot on Arc, it's all been planned out carefully so Zac will be able to return in 2021, to the club where he has said has been the most enjoyable and professional of his career. Assume he will drop back to a 10 point player and under the new rules can be traded in for a leaving 10 point player. All the static about him going to Souths or Perth was just that ... static.

You two have a lot of faith that the WAFC will drop the illegal equalisation rules in 2021...I'm afraid I'm not as optimistic as you guys.

BC as I understand the rule, we can recruit anybody whom has not been on a WAFL list for two years.

I hope you are right about this Seagull as i am still pissed off on how the club has been treated by the WAFC for being succesful. Glad that Zac is not lining up for another wafl club in 2020 but isnt the competition poorer for it? Recently went on the wafl site and noted that he was supposedly playing for South Freo? Also top 10 must see games according to them only included one game involving Subi (that was against East Perth) No mention of a rematch against our gf opponents Souths? Just another sign of the disrespect we are being shown. I'm sure the club will pick up on this and become even more determined to be sucessful again in 2020 despite the WAFC!
